So as the title says I would like to see about retrofitting some halogen projectors on my 04 Tacoma. I don't want HIDs since I like (I know I am weird) the DRL feature and don't want to disable or relocate that. Also in my head a halogen is cheaper and easier to replace if it gets broken.
I tried to search online for retrofit kits but all I find is HID as I suspected. My parents Camry has H11 projectors I believe but I am not the super creative type that will be able to just put those in the tacoma housing.
Anyone have any info if I can even accomplish this?

    Thanks,
    Dan

Don't think there's any available. Unless you get some oem and retro them in somehow. And hids do not interfere with your dtrl. Your headlights are on a separate circuit. And hids last much much longer than halogen bulbs. And are no harder to replace. Don't mean to burst yer bubble. Just sayin.;) if I were you I'd do a basic hid retro with nothin fancy so that only the bulbs are the serviceable item.

I thought since the DRL work on a lower setting that the ground is pulsed so the HIDs would strobe when the DRL circuit is activated... am I mistaking here?

Look into the retrofit source, i installed the mini d2s in my 04 and it is wayyy better than stock. IMO i think it is worth the upgrade. I Installed those led rings and use those as DRLs.
