    I went to a restaurant once where you ordered your food in a little waiting area, and the menu was in code.

    The waiter asked everyone to put their hand on the shoulder of the person in front of you, and you were led into a room that was completely, utterly blacked out.

    We were all literally "blind", and our food and drink we're served, we actually had no idea what exactly we were eating, and had to feel around for everything.

    You could hear the chatter from other tables, that was it- if you needed to use the restroom, one if the staff would lead you there.

    After an hour and a half, still absolutely no vision.

    After the meal, you were led back outside and you could see the key to what you had eaten.

    Apparently the entire wait staff was blind, and the restaurant was an old theater, with huge space between the tables.

    The idea was to gain insight (pun) into the world of visually impaired people.


    Freaked me the fuck out!

    Still does, just thinking about it.
