New member here, just purchased my first Tacoma yesterday (07 crew cab, TRD Off Road)... anyway..

Came across this thread trying to learn before I attempt anything...

This may be the funniest thing I've ever seen in a forum

I am no mechanic, and have very little experience working on vehicles, and very glad I did not do this

Hope everything is still well with the OP and the truck.

 

Last we heard, he's fucking chickens out on the oil sands.

 

I successfully changed my oil the other day for the first time, and, thankfully, did not drain the transmission, nor attempt to add incorrect fluid to the coolant

It's threads like these that keep me coming back. I think hey my wallet could use a break better not look at TW for modding ideas and boom this stuff catches my eye. How did eh chicken out?

 

I just came here to let everyone know I just drained my stupid fucking tranny oil, then dumped in 5.5 more quarts of engine oil to the engine oil. Drove it to work and back maybe 2 miles each way and shifting sucked balls. Getting it towed to a dealership soon......

Ouch. Maybe Toyota needs to start labeling shit. Of course, then they'd make less money off of the mistakes...

I never trust jiffy lube places or department store garages. I had JL install a muffler on an older car. Idiots lifted it by the floor pans.

Brought a car to Sears for a battery. Get a call an hour later stating they can't find the battery

 

Oh man. By some miracle I somehow found this thread this morning. I've been having a rough week and this just made my day. Haven't laughed that hard in a while.

Ahh the good ole I drained my transmission oil, refilled the motor oil and topped off the coolant with transmission oil thread. One must never forget...

 

Should we tell him about the blinker fluid?
