OMG...I just read all 5 pages. I haven't laughed that hard in years. Kudos for posting this fiasco.

I screwed up an oil change a few months ago. No where near this badly. My boys asked if I was going to tell my "TW buddies". I said "No way in hell". The big oil stain in the driveway is still the family joke. BTW...be sure to remove the little air relief plug from the oil container before draining the oil, because otherwise the container will airlock and all the oil will run onto the driveway instead of flowing into the container.

Oh crap...did I say that out loud?

I laughed my ass off at the first 3 pages. I just got home and the last 2 pages made my stomach hurt again.

I know dumb shit happens to everyone but it cracks me up that you came on here to claim it. As I said before, I respect you for having balls to try and fix your mistake so quickly. Lesson learned, do your homework when trying something new.

as odd as it sounds, Ive seen this twice before.

One dude i worked with drained the tranny, specially ordered some more from our outside source, and poured it into the motor, all while supposed to be doing an oil change.

Next time, dude drained oil normally, spun on a new filter, and continued to pour 3qts new oil into the washer fluid res. Had to explain to the boss why he was taking out the washer bottle to clean it out.lol

I'm on a roll with great threads. Yesterday I got to read about the hootus story and today this. Glad you figured it out before the situation got any worse. If I'm hurt and you're my EMT I would not worry one bit. You have to be one hell of a medic to do this.:)

That's fucking wicked. That's our new fail poster around here. If anyone fucks up or does something stupid...that goes up. It's official.

Props for manning up and taking the abuse.

How much did the mechanic charge to clean up the mess?
