Haltech elite 2000, Bosch 1100cc injectors, turbo smart regulator, ceramic coated headers, 2.5 catless free flowing exhaust, rebuild engine kelford cam , kelford valve springs 460ls wilbro pump , rebuild auto with stage 2 valve body, gauges boost afr , 2.5 lift kit with over sized upper arms, trd cai.
Have decided to install haltech due to trd hilux ecu lockout and shops saying they can get in but only reflash the unit. Currently trd is running everything via the haltech bar throttle body and auto. Will start tuning tomorrow, I think the auto might be interesting to the haltech install. Has anyone else used a haltech elite 2000 in there 1grfe s/c cars?

I wonder if a USA 09 ecu could be plugged into your truck. Then you could use HPTuners.

    That stated haltech be bitchin.

There was a member in the HPTuner thread, from Australia, that purchased a USDM ecu and worked to figure out how to make it compatible. Not exactly sure the outcome, but it is in that thread.

The Aussies have the ability to tune their OEM ecu's as well. Including transmission tuning. Not sure if the end user ability is as open as ours, or has to be through some licensed shop though.

I have a Haltech running my engine. However my truck is a manual. Mine is the Elite 2500, on my 2006 1GR.

My question to you @Bfz777 , is how close to the Haltech headquarters are you? That would be right amazing to have Scotty "Tuning Fork" tune your Elite 2000.!
