Would love to see ya’ll’s mobile radio setups. I’m a very new ham radio user and just got this relatively cheap setup installed today.

Just wait for the hardcore guys to tell you you’re a POS for using a non approved radio that doesn’t meet band requirements and will lead to the FCC cracking down all amateur radio users.

Kidding aside, depending on what you want to do with your license a true mobile radio will be far better with ten times the output power and better frequency control.

I have a couple Baofengs and they work well enough for $25 while you figure out what you really want out of it.

I have an old Uniden 980 Bearcat SSB and I keep looking at the cab wondering where to mount it. Kind of thinking about removing the wireless charging pad and cutting the radio into that area.

Make a bracket out of metal plate, paint it and attach to the passenger's side of the center console. This is where I have my full size CB. Go old school or go home!
