I have done stock springs with Hh on my own Tacoma, and I don't move them forward to stock position and the results were great ride and better handling. That's why our instructions recommend the rearmost position for stock springs.

Thank you for the compliments on Hh build quality and packaging!

Just out of curiosity, what happens when you combine the Hh's and cross bar, with a rear sway bar kit? lol it it even possible?

Hh and our cross tube option do not interfere in anyway with the axle. So if a sway bar fits stock, it will surely work with Hh. An anti-sway bar doesn't seem like a good mod to me. I hammered on my Tacoma (near stock weight) in the in switchbacks in mountains of VA for like 50 miles, and it seemed like the truck needed a fatter front sway bar, or heavier coils, inside rear tire tended to get light, a rear sway bar would make that worse.
Only good application I think for a rear sway bar is with a slide in camper.

Just a point to notice for readers. I own the vehicles we build parts for and test them to my satisfaction, so I can experience the parts we sell, that is what our confidence is based on.

Rear sway bar is a good mod. A lateral control arm is much needed for a Tacoma for those that like to corner, I'm currently designing my own.

I've currently got 700lbs coils on Kings up front. And I'm about to be in a situation where I have a dedicated off road vehicle (jk) and a heavier than expected trailer (1 ton). So the truck is going a "pro mod/touring-ish" direction. Read about a sway bar kit marketed towards helping with towing. I'm already set on getting the Hh, and have a rear air bag hardware kit already. But wondered if adding the sway bar with the hh crossbar would have a combined positive effect or somehow counteract each other.

Oh ya, I'll also be towing from Denver to the mountains and back....

Hi - Loving my 21 ORAC, weakest point seems to be keeping rear end stable on washboard at modest speeds - I have a 200# Leer 180 cap and sliders, maybe another 150 - 200 pounds of gear when hitting the mountains for a few days - never tow, never much heavier... Currently planning 5100s and a 3LAAL (1" Fr, 1.5 Re) as roll oscillation with added weight and CoG changes have become annoying - hence the plan for a small upgrade ... but, I am not confident this will help rear end behave. Have heard great things about the HHs in this regard - just curious if HHs would require different leaf packs / shocks (as I already have hardware, could always sell though) perhaps due to enabling more travel. If I am tearing into truck anyway maybe now would be the time for the HHs - Would welcome any comment, thoughts or suggestions - including leaf pack / shock options. I don't hunt obstacles and will always pick safest lines (expensive truck) but I explore and can get surprised, and have also learned in my brief time here in CO that trails can change dramatically overnight due to storms n'at. btw, great thread.

The HH will work with from stock to wild over axle setups.
The cross brace with the HH makes a huge difference. However then you will need to move your spare up into the bed or elsewhere.

Thank you. Hh work great with stock springs for ride and handling. Hh make every mile better, on and off road. Makes the rear more carlike.
In post #1, see quotes from customers with stock packs. It was also a great combo for me on my truck.
    I recommend Fox 2.0 instead of 5100s

My HH just arrived, haven't had a chance to install yet, but I wanted to second what everyone else has said about the packaging. I can't think of anything else I've purchased from a fab shop that has been packaged this well. I doubt anything in the box shifted more than a few millimeters on the cross country trip!

Installed over a week ago, did a 1200 mile trip to the carolinas and back. I had installed Fox 2.5" remote res shocks last summer and the Hammer Hanger addition finally made it ride the way I wanted it.
When unloaded it rides like you've got weight in the bed when going over those jarring seams and across lumpy bridges. With some weight in the bed it seems even nicer.

We have lowered Hammer hanger lead time to 31 days even with optional Archive Shackles and Hi Clearance Cross tube (instead of 60 days with options)

If you already have Hammer hangers, cross tubes are in stock

It's a beautiful feeling when you finally hack and fight them suckers off and get to give them the bird.

Now that I think about it I should have saved them to use as hose hangers or something so they could actually be useful for once in their existence.

But I was pretty pissed at them and they went straight to the recycling after a good flipping off.

Reverting to stock & don't have the hangers like I would've sworn I did. Anybody have their stockers laying around in SoCal that I can come take out of your trash pile?
