Thanks for picture. Using my shackle flip is essentially going back to the "Hilux" shackle style, and that does work with Dakars without modifying

I installed the springs a week ago, they were good in a lot of areas, fit and length were good. The capacity was a lot higher than I was aiming, so this set turned out to be HD, like 750-1000lb range for 3-2" lift respectively. I drove the truck with 1,000+ lbs and the spring rate felt great with good handling. Lift was about 2.5" with 1,000.

Then I unloaded most of the weight, had maybe 150 lbs and was surprised how good the ride was, no jarring to the ride. Lift was closer to 4" at that point, so these need the weight.

It did flex quite well even unloaded and would be a good match with 12" shocks, I don't have exact numbers.

So basically turns out I am starting from top down, this pack will be awesome for the heavy trucks. A couple small adjustments and I am ready to offer it.

I will be working on a medium duty offering, but I need to test it, which pushes back estimated availability.

    Eric

Sounds like the spring I need. What is the thickness of this spring pack at the spring perch?

It is 2.1" thick, significantly thinner than Dakar HD or Deaver, so it will allow more bump travel

@ARCHIVE I'm in as well for heavy duty! Maybe not a whole pint of virgin blood though....
I have about 600lbs over stock (Topper, RTT, bumper, 2x spare tires) for daily driving. Then about another 400lbs for camping (gear, firewood, water, gas, cooler)

So looking at slightly above a 3" lift with 600-700lbs is perfect for my truck.

How did these do with the rubber bushings? I'm not planning on going to 12" shocks/relocate but still want to be able to max out RXT shocks.

Let us know when these things are ready to be sold!

Your use sounds about perfect for these. I was thinking that the recommended minimum weight would be 500lbs (You could go less, and it isn't jarring, just firm and really too much spring rate for stock weight).
The rubber bushings are great to me, they seem to use about 11" of shock so far, so will use all of stock location shocks. To repeat, rubber bushings help my goal of having a leaf pack that can endure severe duty off road travel for years, without maintenance.

These are comparable to Deaver stage 3’s?

That sounds perfect to me! I just didn't want to sacrifice a significant amount of travel for the reliability of rubber bushings.

Yes. Who wants to recommend names of famous explorers for these?

I am using the name sake of Ernest Shackleton for the 1G Tundra springs I offer, and would like to use another explorer name for these 2G/3G Tacoma.
