-OME Nitrocharger lift, Dakar leafs -U bolt flip kit with timbren bumps in rear and durobumps in front -9” bobbed bed -3” cut fenders and cab mount relocation -315/75r16 -LCE long tube headers and Magnaflow muffler -URD maf sensor calibrator -fully skidded with RCI off-road steel plates -dobinson snorkel w/K&N drop in and charcoal delete -Demello off-road steel flat top front bumper w/smittybilt 9.5k winch
So I am wanting to have as much droop as I can without doing a Chevy 63” spring conversion... right now I have ome Dakar’s and I’m wanting to install a 12” shock relocation and shackle flip kit to replace the rear leaf spring hanger. So my question is: which would be more beneficial and reliable? Hammer hangers or a shackle flip kit? Do the hammer hangers change geometry of the oem rear leaf shackle to provide more droop? I’ve seen posts with them before and the top of the rear tire is dropped below the rocker panel. That’s what I’m trying to achieve.

Hammer Hangers are an OEM/Stock Replacement that is simply way beefier than stock. Pretty sure nothing changes with the geometry.

Shackle flip changes the geometry a little bit but not much if done right. Archive's Shackle Flip gives you like 4 different mounting positions for different setups.
I'm running extended shackles and my particular setup gives 1" of lift and ~2" more droop with Bilstein 5125 shocks/Extended Brake Lines. That being said I'm 5-lug SUA so results may vary.

Here's the Hammer Hanger thread: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...rage-2005-2023-tacoma-shackle-hangers.519625/
It's long but has a lot of good info for different setups

Here's the Shackle Flip Thread: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/2005-2023-archive-garage-premium-shackle-flip-lift-kit.403630/
Bit shorter thread but still lots of good info on different setups.

Highly recommend going through those and that'll help decide which is better for you. From what I understand, most 6-lug Tacos go with the Hammer Hangers.
