I bought my wife the P250 since she learned on a Sig and insisted she'd shoot well with one. After many trips to the range to gain proficiency I finally talked her into trying my Kimber CDP and you married guys know how it goes..."Oh wow, honey, this is great! Thanks for my new gun!!!"

Anyway.. I thought the 250 would help her transition to the .45, but their price for the caliber change leads me to think I should just buy a whole new gun.

whaaa? you want a 'lil pea shooter?? hell, you might as well get a .22mag  a lot of folks think it's underpowered, but none have let me shoot them with it to prove it yet. :) it has been a domino effect since i bought it...five other people i know have gotten one after getting familiar with mine. my one and only complaint is the lack of cheap ammo for it. someday, i'd like to get a PS90 to go with it.

The 5.7 is a good little round, but it lacks any ass at all.( the ss109 AP round is wicked fast though) I use to work with USSS CAT/ERT (counter assault/ Emergencey response) teams and they liked the compatness of the P90, but still used .357 sig for their sidearm. One story I heard was that some guy was shooting at the White House, CAT member waked out of the front door and fired while holding center mass, its a 200 yd. shot, and the round hit the guy in the right knee. I'd prefer something with a little more mass on it.
The H&K MP7 (4.6mm) is very similar but way more bad ass. I know a few guys that have some kills with these and they work really well.

How bright are those sights? I've been thinking about night sights for my carry gun, but I've heard a few people talk about them glowing through thin clothing (such as a tshirt)?
