Ahh yes, the "I'm not sure what post you're referring to" post.
Nah, the thread didn't devolve. Just a particular user. Everyone else is just discussing what they like and don't like about different bike racks.

I've heard of issues with the one up racks, although they are nice. After weighing my options and not wanting 4 bikes hanging a mile of the back of my truck, I decided on a Recon rack 4 bike. Made in the USA by one dude and I don't need to worry about my 30k worth of bikes when me and my buddies shuttle back roads.

Not sure if this is an informational thread anymore, but I got a rocky mounts solo rack recently. Seems good enough for the money. First rack I’ve used. If I didn’t have a cap I’d probably use a tailgate pad. Though it sounds like those are frowned upon by some. :anonymous: :D

If you only have a couple bikes you can still keep the cap on and load forks over the tailgate. Just have to side load the bike first.

I thought about this, but the 15 year old struts that hold my back window open would hate me if I rode around with the window open. I decided to just take the tire off and use a trap.

while getting rear ended with bikes on the back sucks... if you cant afford a new bike its a quick way to getting what you paid for the bike through the other persons insurance. sometimes you come out on top and end up getting a better bike than you had before! Sometimes you even need to get a new car! but either way platform hitch bike racks are the best for not clanking bikes together and ease of use.
