Truck looks great, love how you built it out. Personally I would do a mix of stain and carpet, and only carpet areas around the floor in terms of sleeping comfortability. No splinters lol

I absolutely love the new truck! Those wheels look fantastic too! Are you planing on upgrading the rear suspension at all? How does the stock setup handle the weight?

Awesome build, makes me realize I need to step my game up from sleeping in the bed of my DCSB.

Been a minute on the updates, however, I finished instal on my @Pelfreybilt High Clearance Rear bumper and Swingarm.

After finishing that up, i'm taking on the suspension. I have a set of Bilstein 8112 front / 8100 rear shocks on the way to pair with Alcan leafs. JBA UCAs for the front too.

Sorry for the late reply... The walkway in the back is 20". Its more than enough to move through comfortably.

    Hey, thanks.

Yes. I have a set of Bilstein 8112 front / 8100 Rear Dampers on the way and have been chatting with the folks at Alcan to build a leaf pack built for the weight in the bed. I'll try to do a better job documenting that part of the build... but, inevitably, i'll forget and not take a single photo.

yea! took a while, but I did finally finish it. Exactly what i ended up doing. Carpet on the center channel, stain inside of the slide. I even upholstered cushions on top of all of the boxes to add build in seating. I'll post photos soon.

Your story is so similar to mine. I had an 2003 DCSB I bought new, loved it. It had the 2.7 inline 4 which in combo with auto trans, which coupled with added weight of the flip pac and cargo weight, didn't quite do so well on the open roads, especially long steep uphill grades. So I reluctantly sold it and bought an 2001 DCSB with 3.4 v6, 4x4 TRD. Same camper, and trailer, but different rigs. Now more power and offroad amenities, but less mpg. Its all good. Now I'm thinking of selling the Flip Pac to finance a different camper project. Good luck with your project, Cheers, John

    Amazing build!

Interior pics. please. Would love to see how the seating turned out. Can a few adults hangout comfortably inside?
