I haven't been offroad with them yet but we have no shortage of soft sand here in Florida so its good to hear they perform well in it.

How I can tell is by the amount of air needed to achieve floatation in sand. Most AT tires do well at 15 psi, mud tires and 3 ply sidewall tires, like BFG TAs need to go down to 10 psi, but the Hancook ATMs do good at 20 psi! Drove them on the beach in Baja two months ago, and again real soon!

I'm sure there's no difference as far as quality goes. I ran these as my last set, long life and performed flawlessly on and road. Very quiet. Developed a hum in the last stretch of its life, same as others. You may need spacers and some trimming. Mine had no rubbing issues. Then again, I'm gen 2.

The LT sure costs more than the P rated ones, even though they don't look different. Mine (second set running them) are wearing well, but I did put a rock through the sidewall on the two passenger side tires while driving too fast in Baja last September (I can't help myself, it's a Toyota Thing). One went flat on the spot and the other a couple weeks later. Discount gave me two new tires, which they put on the same axle (back). Pretty great!

i got 5100's up front at 1.75", think 285's would fit without rub?

I dont remember is that the max setting on 5100's ? If it is the max setting it should not rub unless your hitting some major bumps or at full lock while hitting those bumps.

2.5" is the tallest setting I think. Mine are at the first rise, 0.85".
As for the Hankooks, I have had three of the original four replaced for road hazard reasons now. Discount Tire does not give me any hassle and that is okay with me.

Again, no lift needed for 265/75-16 (1" taller than stock tires on then Off Road TRD).

I'm pushing 10 k on mine and just had them rotated and balanced yesterday and I do some off roading on trails nothing crazy but I've been on rock and tough terrain where I think I shouldn't be and it done me better then I thought. With DT's markers they use for the tread they said they come in brand new as a 12 and I'm sitting at a 10. These tires kind of amaze me honestly. I will prob go a size bigger but for right now running 265 75 17 and I love them and in the snow. Fantastic. NC here. Sorry don't have better picture of tire up close but will get one. So they say there wearing just right.

What do 265 75 17 equate to, 33s? I currently have 255 75 17s bfg MTs but am looking for a quieter tire (A/T). I'm considering 265 70 17 cause that's only half inch smaller than current ones

I'm not to sure about the 33 thing but I know these are good tires. 265 70 would but a great size tires for you.

I bought the hankook Atm in 245/75/16 P rated around December from local Walmart. I plan on buying them again or taking a chance on the kumho at51. The hankook and kumho both seem to be the lightest tire in a an AT and P rated since most of my miles are highway but winters get rough. Only down side of hankook is they are a little noisy on highway. Both are good price too.

    Too few to list.
At just over $110 a tire, that's a good deal. I believe the rebate is $75 for these as well.

These tires at this size according to tirerack are 39lbs. That's 3 pounds lighter than the stock Wranger Adverntures that came stocks on OR models which are smialler at 265/70R16.

Actually, the rebate is $60 for these, but still pretty good deal. I will be under $500 for new shoes!:burnrubber:

I just put them on my Tacoma a few weeks ago. Its the third truck I have had these tires on. Best all around tire I have found, and at a great price.

I'll have to give these tires a try soon as they are one of the lighter tires out there.
