I'm thinking about picking up a 12 ton Harbor Freight press for a couple projects I have coming up. I need to rebuild my supercharger and replace my u joint soon and figured I would pick up a press since most places want $10-25 per bearing to be press in/out. I know Harbor Freight isn't the greatest, but I really only would use it every so often and I could probably sell it for 75% of what I paid for it when I'm done with my projects if I wanted.

So anyone have any experience with either the H or A style press? I've heard the A frame is more stable which seems like the better deal. Also is there any differences between the orange and silver H frame?

I have used the H style orange one and it was a little unstable but it did a great job, hope this helps some

That's what I keep hearing. Might just go for the A frame then. Thanks!
