This thing is absolutely amazing. For $40 (with coupon) you cannot beat this thing.

For my 2014 Toyotla Tacoma I had to trim the sheet because it was too wide for the bed (burned the cut site with a lighter as well to prevent unthreading of the fibers of the sheet). Also the clamps that hold the rod in place were interfering with the latch mechanism of the tailgate.

I sprayed the bed with silicone lubricant after sweeping it clean. This seemed to work amazingly well.

As you can see in my video, it took no time at all to unload the bed. I was chucking out all my rotted, short, reject pieces that I've collected.

Here's the link to the .

And here's a link to a HF coupon database (amazing site) for the $34.99 COUPON. $44.99 is the reg. price.

I've seen videos on YT with people unloading coal, gravel, dirt, mulch, etc. This thing is a must.

Modding wise I drilled a hole in the crank so I could secure it to the rod when it was not in use using a locking pin. That worked out well as I forgot to detach it and drove home with it dangling there.

I ended up seeing so much good wood I went home, got my chainsaw gear, ppe, etc, 2 spare chains (thank god I did that) and came back to pick up some nice ash (yellow I think?), one round of spruce, and a bunch of norwegian maple as well. That's a good trade right there!

The ash I saw the tell-tale signs of Emerald Ash Borer - squiggly lines between wood and bark and those "D" shaped exit holes. Shame.

Here's the video of the unit in action.

    I traded this:

Darn! I wish I had this when I loaded a yard of mulch into my bed. Up and down with a damn shovel was awful, this would have saved the day!

Holy cow that's quick. So it's basically a rolled up piece on vinyl that is opened up on the bed when loading? I camp ever so often every year and wood takes a good few hours to source, load and unload. It easily becomes a multiday job when we have large groups, this could be beneficial!

Yeah it sure saves a lot of time. I'm sure the more I use it the better I'll be. My daughter was filming and there was mud everywhere so the angle wasn't great.

Yes, it is a mesh like sheet of vinyl/plastic that seems pretty damn sturdy. Didn't rip at all.

Here is a short vid of me unloading the good pieces with one hand. You can see the material much better.

...just be careful not to jinx yourself. Granted, HF has come a long way with their quality...but thinking you've got something that's too good to be true? You're just putting a curse on your purchase. I'm kidding, kinda. It is cool to see someone buy something from them that doesn't just work "well enough" or "well" but is almost a wonder of the world, considering what it cost. Enjoy!

    back to bone stock.
my friend did something similar. he laid filter fabric inside the truck with a huge tag end. he pulled up and rolled a his digging bar into the tag end and tied a rope to it and the other end to an anchor. then he got in the truck and drove up. i was skeptical, but was amused it worked. the load was relatively light wood chips.

After shoveling countless truck loads of dirt I found out about this thing and bought it. Worked pretty darn well with my F-150 but haven't gotten to try with my Tacoma yet. The loads I've done were pretty heavy and tested it's strength for sure. The only part I didn't like is that it did a pretty good job scratching up my tailgate, so beware. Due to this I'm a bit apprehensive about using it on my Tacoma.

I would disagree, lol. Inside of the bed, sure! But I like to keep the paint on all of my vehicles in as good of condition as I can. Usually you can use your vehicle 95% the same as anyone else you just need to pay attention and be more careful

It has no motor, or engine so it seems it is a safe HF buy.

Some of their stuff is terrible......but some of it is just great.

    Terrible:

Garden hose - leaked immediately and returned immediately.
Brass/nylon brush pack for $1. Handle snapped multiple times. Oh well.

    Great:

Wood chipper - this thing is a damn beast and is perfect for my .5 acre lot with lots of trees. I just noticed, however, that the screws holding the heat shield backed out by themselves which causes the heat shield to crack where the two remaining side screws were holding it in place. Let's see if they send me a new muffler assembly since there are no individual parts for the shield.

Diamondback 7" Tile Saw. Easy to put together and works amazing.

I literally just got my machine not even like 2 weeks ago. So this is poor quality control on their part. I suppose they used the thinnest sheetmetal to stamp this heat shield. A little blue loctite won't break the bank either. I will have to find my angled drill bit attachment to back those side screws out darn it. I can never find what I'm looking for! Let me know how it goes for you. I will post once I get a response as well. The bag ripped on me the first 15 minutes so I asked them to send another one but I still have to buy some fishing line to sew up the old one.

Op...I used bigger screws, they too vibrated out. I removed the air filter stuff to access side screws. Discovered an aluminum heat shield wedged up inside...supposed to be on side with side screws to keep heat from carb.

Thanks. I'll try using a bit of blue loctite to keep the new screws in....if they ever send a replacement. Bastards. Do you know what size the screws are by any chance?

When i used to get mulch I would buy one of there gray cheap tarps and load it in the bed . Then when it was time to unload I would just pull the tarp out by hand when it got lighter of course and it was easy clean up

At this price, even if it just works a couple times it has paid for itself in labor saved IMO. Neat tool.

Did you use the supplied extra strap that pulls onto the bumper? Not sure how well it works......but in my excitement I forgot to use and as you can see in the video, didn't even need to use it. Never had the tailgate pop up on me once.
