I just went to the Costco website and as of now they say it's sold out....too late, but that looks like a nice tool chest and a great buy at $399. :(

Used a pair of shitty 3" cut off wheels today and some crappy air sheet metal shears to cut some 18 gauge sheet steel.

    Hated it the whole time.

Forgot to mention the HF TV mount is great. Got all my tvs mounted with it. 42,55&70 inch. Can't beat the price either.

I broke the hinge bolt on my air nibbler cutting roofing tin. Need to buy some better bolts for it.

Exactly, and it depends how often you use them. I've purchased many things like a pressure washer and tile saws from places like Ocean State Job Lot, HF, and so on. Only needing them for occasional use being a homeowner, I'll take my $50 tile saw over one that costs several hundred any day.

I agree, if you happen to buy a tool that doesn't meet your expectations out of many, it's not like you count on it for your livelihood or to put food on the table and would rather have affordable tools, than tools I can't afford.

Well, I'm a little happier now. Just saw that HF is opening up in Roseburg on Jan 17. No more +1.5hr drive.

I had never heard of HF, till my neighbor recommended it and we were both excited when they opened a new store about 12 miles from us, in tax free NH.

Have their spring compressor and it works very well. I trust it more compared to the 2 piece sets that have the u bolt to keep them from flying should they slip.

Also their cheapo deluxe wood splitter works well for what I use it for. The mentally challenged one who put it on the telescoping cart didn't raise it high enough and did a nice job scratching my tail gate. I just looked at him and said you're very lucky that the tailgate is already damaged otherwise I'd be going off on you right now and someone would be paying to repair this. His eyes grew to the size of softballs...

Only thing I've had bad luck with from there was a seal puller. Didn't take much force to get the thing to snap in half, but then it was less than $10. I've also found that their multimeter is okay and accurate, but the leads for it are very delicate, then again you can usually get one for free so it's tough to complain.

I have one of these from them and it is fantastic. Was going to look at a higher-end jack because they were the same price as the HF one, but the reviews of Craftsmans and others were horrible. It's been great for the year or two that I've had it:

The stuff I use a lot is mostly Craftsman, Husky, or Stanley, but for anything that sees occasional use (hex sockets, screw drivers that I'll inevitably destroy by using as pry bars, etc.), I buy HF stuff.

Everything with an edge I have bought from HF has been a disappointment with the exception of box cutters. For the price that is I would recommend looking at the cheap kershaws at Walmart. Maybe 10 bucks more but probably worth it.
