I watched a video the other day of HF flux wire vs lincon wire and the Lincoln was the superior winner. I think this was before Vulcan so I’m not sure if there’s a difference.

I’ll check them out next time I run out of wire. May be awhile though

Lincoln wire is at HD. I am running a Lincoln 10lb spool. Fits perfectly in the HF welder.

If you don't weld a lot you might want to take the spool off, put it in a bag with a desiccant and store it in your house; or at least in a temperature controlled environment. Temperature changes and the resultant moisture can cause oxidation on the wire which will build up in your tip and can lead to bird's nests. Most of the time the wire will look fine but run your finger over it and you'll see it on your finger. It's best to store tig and brazing rods in containers as well.

Good info. I've been wanting a welder for ages.

An easy method to keep things really dry is to grab a 5gal bucket with sealing lid from Lowes or HD and put a container of DampRid inside with whatever you want to keep dry. That stuff is a really strong desiccant.

DampRid also works way better than rice if your cell phone takes a bath.

Bought this today. I’ve got a crap ton of tile floor to remove. This should make the job a lot easier.

I’ve used their impacts on dozer tracks, final drives, head bolts and everything in-between. I’ve yet to break one even when running them on a 3/4 to 1 inch impact gun hahaha

My problem is that I have all the free crap (magnetic dish, tarp, led lights, screwdriver set, etc.) that they give away when you buy something. Don't know what I will do when I need to get a box of nitrile gloves again.

Hope you have better luck with their hole saws than I did. It was a long time ago but they were less than useless. Wood would dull them in one hole.

Got this during the 25% off Easter sale. Screw drivers, combo wrenches and pliers aren't the best, but it's a solid emergency tool set for the money, in my opinion.

Holy chit, I've done a lot already!!
X 2 on the impacts. My only complaint is mine are "etched" and basically it is rubbed off of the one's I use the most.

I'll be notching some metal tubing, we'll see.

Absolutely! A good cutting oil even better. And if you are notching a lot of the same size, buy a couple of top notch (pun intended) hole saws of the proper size. Nothing more frustrating than a dull saw in the middle of a project.

I have a number of sets of HF's impact sockets and extensions, and have beaten them up pretty good over the years with no failures....
