I went to HF today for some shrink wrap, and used that as an excuse to pick up the butane micro torch. Been wanting to grab one for a long time, am not disappointed.

Just don't leave it on in the passenger seat and catch your truck on fire, then have insurance buy you a new 4runner.

    Bought it
Broke it immediately after assembly was finished.

Handle wouldn’t retract so I smacked it with a 2x4 and now it telescopes with ease, but doesn’t stay up.

    ALSO bought the Apache case.
Seems solid so far? Just needed a secure place for gauges.

Picked up a new digital caliper. Interesting in that it not only displays mm and inches, you can have it display fractional inches as in 11/16, 5/8, etc. Never seen one that does that.

I'm a bit leary of the HF butane torches. I have two--one leaks around the knob and the other piezoelectric igniter failed and also I cannot refill it. The input valve leaks.

I used to be a machinist and that's a new one on me too...and I used a LOT of different calipers.

To be fair, if I wanted to see fractions of an inch, I'd use a tape measure so I think they solved a problem that wasn't a problem....but it's kinda cool that it does it :)

Yeah, I don't know why I'd ever use this function but it's kinda cool.

It would be pretty handy for sizing drill bits that have had the sizes gouged off from a slipping chuck.
