Got tired of having the spike jammed in my hand. Scoped around for ideas, then saw some golf balls at WM and said "eh, its only $6". This is the end result. Even put one one the rasp for the "why the he** not" factor.

    Reserected from the dead.
I gave that a lot of thought and decided to pass.

The only thing I could see myself ever pressing would be 1st Gen wheel bearings.

After thinking it thru, I decided I would be ahead paying a shop to press those in and out. I at least get a somewhat of a warranty. No insurance if I do it myself.

In addition, those presses take up lots of space. I'm not storing something I'm gonna use 5 times in my lifetime.

Nothing too exciting... maybe a little rust
I have the 6 ton bench top A-frame press. I bought it to do the girls wheel bearings on her Honda and it worked pretty good. It doesn't have a whole lot of vertical capacity but it's easy to just go buy a stick of angle iron and cut it into 4 pieces at desired length, drill a few holes and replace the vertical frame pieces that come with it to get some more height out of it. This keeps it pretty compact still, at least way better than the full size 20 ton if you can do what you need to without the extra 14 tons anyway.

I was watching some YouTube videos on HF tools testing and they held up a lot better than I thought they would against expensive tool's and even beat them in some cases . I was surprised so GL and meaning it .

My HC compound miter saw just quit working all of a sudden. It’s a few years old but it’s jusy used for normal 2x4 cuts usually. Is there a fuse or something I’m missing? Or think it’s the brushes? (Spring attaches to metal in that spot up near the handle and trigger).

    A thing or two...
I'd start with the motor brushes. Some HF stuff comes with spare brushes (my grinder did), so see if you have some laying around. If not, a lot of times, you can find brushes at the hardware store, so take one in and find one with a similar cross section.

Yeah I had those spare parts in a bag but lost them while moving out of my old house. I’ll try True Value or something and see if they have any. Thanks

The only tool I had to return was the 8" drill press. I actually returned 3 in a row before I gave up. All came with what seemed like bad bearings right at the chuck. even at the lowest speed the noise was unbearable.

Not sure what I want to do for a budget drill press...

Check Craisglist or Facebook marketplace. They show up on there all the time. The drill press seems to be on of those tools that everyone thinks they need but only gets used a handful of times before it sits and collects dust. I bought two drill presses this way. One for $50 and one for $75.

    Ryobi.

Went to warranty out my diagonal cutters today but the line was 30 people deep! Fuck that. I have the Quinn set, wondering if the red handle set is any better. Price is tripled IIRC. Considering buying a Matco pair or other tool truck brand.

No problems with the impact "Pro" grade of sockets and extensions.

I have an air compressor that I bought at HF along with an Earthquake impact and cutting wheel. I've been satisfied with their products as long as you opt for the higher priced models.

On the weekends when I'm running my compressed air tools, my garage sounds like a Firestone store. My neighbors haven't complained yet. :)

You caught me with an Import Direct CV Axle box there on the left.

If anybody sees a flyer or coupon for the US General end locker please tag me.

They were on sale for $169 twice last year. Hoping this month it happens again but don’t want to miss it. :fingerscrossed:
