This might sound stupid.. But I love their Dolley! It was pretty cheap and it came with huge wheels! it makes a big difference when I was moving because the big tires made it easy to go up and down stairs. They are helps if I had to go through grass.

Any rubbing? Did you have to trim? :D

If you meant this guy: I have a similar one bought from someplace else. It has been great for years. Sometimes I will have to reattach the tire bead when the air pressure drops too much. Some Slime would probably permanently fix that?

No rubbing I had to trim. It is still in my garage and its fricken awesome! I had a bad expirence. You're going to laugh.

When I moved into my apartment I made the mistake of buying a used washer. it ended up not working so I bought a new one that night. I had to take this huge washer that didn't work with this dolley with little wheel. I didn't have help, I am stubborn, and it was pouring down rain. The steps were to big so i couldnt go up the 5 steps to the side walk. So i went around through the grass. It was very muddy. the tire came off. the thing fell over and I fell in the mud. I put it back together and cant find the bolt for the wheel. I keep pulling it through the muddy grass and the ties are so small that I am just dragging it through mud. If i pull to hard I slip and fall face first into the mud. Happened 5 times before I figured out how not to do that. Then on top of that, every 5 feet i had to move the wheel back on so it didn't come off. Horrible expirence. I returned the damn dolley, which was 70 bucks. Then i was at harbor frieght one day and saw that Jem. So I bought it. I helped my bad moved and used it to move some couches and an old fridge. Perfect. I check on the bolts just to make sure. But it had no trouble.

Hilarious! Those little wheels can be a pain on smooth surfaces, esp getting going on the UHaul ramps and such.

    Big tires are good.

I had the opposite experience when I replaced my gas water heater. The side door that I use to bring and remove anything large/heavy from my cellar only has about a 3-foot height with a 27-inch width. My HF dolly with the larger tires wouldn't fit, so I borrowed my neighbor's dolly with little solid tires was perfect. There are only about 5 steps to get it outside, so what I did was lay a piece of plywood over the steps and with the water heater strapped to the dolly, I laid it on the plywood then from the outside I dragged it out.

I agree with you about using the HF dolly to move things up/down stairs and on rough surfaces. I find if you don't keep the pressure too high it helps going down stairs, can't imagine being without the dolly now.

Curious, have you ever tried the Quinn dykes, mine have held up better than their lower priced discontinued line but have had my eye on the Doyle line? I really can't justify the higher price for the Doyles, but have heard they are equivalent to the Matco line.

Turns out mine are the Quinn. :pout:

So I’d pass on them. I thought about trying the Doyle’s, but at that price point maybe it’s worth just buying a legit brand. I don’t use dykes too often but when I do, I’d rather them not break.

The Quinn’s were fine after the tip broke, no edge damage or anything, just kinda sucks that it’s uneven now on the tips.

Bought two jack stands online from them 3 weeks ago for a install I did last weekend. (Ordered online because the closest store to me is like 20 miles)

They showed up today with no top pieces in the box... Literally just the base lmfao holy shit :cookiemonster:

Sorry to hear that, I guess you use them more than I do and it probably is worth spending more for better quality if you don't want to use their lifetime warranty. :(

I have so many HF tools I don't want to overwhelm the servers for this website and heat up the cables that would need more bandwidth + I figured true HF addicts like me spend so much time in their stores they don't need to see them again here.

    ^^^^^^^^ This!

I have to say that the dual action buffer saved my ass, again:

Our Subaru was in the shop for a weird crank timing repair just out of warranty. My wife rented a Grand Caravan. It is a wee bit bigger than the Forester. So, pulling into a parking spot, she scraped another car. Of course, I got the call, and she was completely freaked out. She didn't want to just leave a note, so she waited for the person to come out. When they did, she hopped out and said what she did. It was an Asian girl, and my wife didn't know if she couldn't speak English or had AirPods in. She just jumped in the car and zoomed away almost taking out my wife in the process. She found a security person and asked about footage, just in case the other person's car comes back with the door torn off or some such. They said this happens all the time. It was just a scratch on the minivan, so the other car had to be similar. I was bummed that my wife didn't snap pics of the other car.

When she got home, I whipped out my HF polisher and went to town on the bumper and headlight. That fucking thing is My Precious. I really should have taken before and after pics. I might have fixed a couple other random scratches because the thing is a miracle machine.

I was glad to use it. It’s about a mile from my house.

But that day, a Thursday of all days.. they had 3 cashiers open and the line was 30 ft long. So I made a mental note of “yeah, no. Fuck that line.” I’ll go back and exchange it for sure.
