I meant less vs what I paid with the $10 off the old coupon, I should have been more clear. :)

She runs. What more can I ask for?
Has anyone used any of their bench top "mini" appliances (drill press, table saw, belt sander, mitre saw, etc)? Was looking at them the other day and they're fairly cheap and don't take up a ton of space but I'm wondering about quality here.

I've used the miter saw for plenty of proyects, it broke a piece and they gave a new one under warranty no problem. I've been thinking about the drill press for some time.

Had the 8” drill press and found it to be a bit underpowered but functional. As long as you don’t force the bit, it would work. If you lean on the handle too much the bit would bind and the belt looses grip on either pulley so you you have to turn it off and disengage the bit from the workpiece to restart. Annoying but it’s a reminder to let the bit do the cutting and not force it. I got a good deal on a vintage floor drill press so I passed the HF drill press to my brother who would use it a lot less than me so it would be fine for him.

Also have the 4” belt/disc sander and kind of the same deal. One interesting thing I found was that it actually likes the HF belts. I bought Norton belts for it but they would never stay centered and I was constantly adjusting them as I worked and they still wanted to walk off the drum. The HF belts always stayed centered so it was more convenient to just buy a few and start with a fresh belt every few uses. I also though the guard and little table were garbage so i removed them pretty much immediately. The guard made it a pain to swap belts out anyway. Now I can just loosen the tension arm, swap and get back to work.

Bought the ten inch wet saw with hopes of making it most of the way through my stone fireplace. Lasted the entire project and through a retaining wall project as well. I didn’t take it easy on the saw at all. The closer I got to completing the project the harder I was on it. Did have to replace the water pump once with a Lowe’s pump, but as stated, I was hard on it.

I guess when you start with low expectations, ok results seem great.

Think twice about their cheap drill press, it's lowest speed is too fast to drill steel or stainless steel .

I have had a few of the cheapest ones. I seem to end up breaking off the handle on them if dropped hard. Hard to use after that so usually just get another.
