I have a bunch of those meters. Yeah they are not high quality, but they always work for a while for me. Just dont tug on the wires as that is the weak link. When it fails I throw it away and grab the next one I have.

Exactly what I do. You can’t expect much for less than $4 or even free

Yeah, I already have a couple that have been working for years. I just wanted some more. They are cheap enough to have ones all over the place where i might need one.

Yeah and all I care about is if they accept the coupon.

So, they took the coupons for the multi meters from the hfqpdb app and they scanned right from my phone. I got four multi meters for 3.99 each on one coupon, then one free one with purchase on the other. So I basically got five of them for $3 each!

All of them work out of the box.

A couple are going to friends at work who have asked me how to install a stereo or troubleshoot electrical things with a "go search 'how to use a multi meter' and 'how to check that thing' on YouTube".

Yeah, they are cheap but they work. I've even had some last long enough to replace the battery in.

I keep these around just for using in adverse conditions. If my HF multi-meter tumbles off the ladder, I don't think "fvck, that's gonna make an expensive noise". I just grab another out of the tool box.

Just found out I'm getting a new HF store in my area! No more battling an hour's worth of traffic!

Usually if you need a multimeter for something, you don't want a cheap one.

Had the HF meter tell me my group 31 was at 5.1 standing volts, yet could somehow run a 30" light bar and start the truck. :notsure:

I hear you. The one by my house opened this past year. I used to have to drive 30 min to go to a lousy one that always looked like it was looted and half their stuff was opened packages and/or missing stuff.

I bought the black one about 6 months ago. I Love it. I think I caught it on a Super sale & got it for $149. I haven't seen it for that price since then. I was hoping it would go on sale again to get another one, no luck. They didn't have the black side shelf when I bought mine, so I went with red. It works all the same. Good purchase.

Magnetic strips are a great idea for the screwdriver drawer!

I walked to my HF store last Sunday. 7.23 miles round trip. Gotta exercise so I stay healthy. Stopped to BS at a gun store along the way.

How easy does it look to remove the US General from the underside of the top?

A bit much considering it’s prominent on the front...
