44* honestly haven’t put too much in it. I’m going to start looking at other peoples layout before I start putting in tools only to take right back out and put in another drawer.

Also here’s an unusual use of the car jack. Ended up the ratchet strap wouldn’t make tire seal well enough so some engine starter was used to seal the bead.

This is my one day shop location.

Man I like that blue too. I need more space, but I am living in an apartment and can't justify a bigger box now. Way over in the corner.

I can hang tools on my pegboard if need be. I just need a few more drawers. I wish that husky still made midbixes. I know crapsman does, but it would drive me crazy to have a mismatch name brand sandwiched between.

I can take pics of my other drawers if you'd like some layout options, but here is my top drawer (it is a 56" but I believe my top drawer is same as top drawer of 44"?)

Does anyone have any thoughts on their Bad Land winches? I want a nice winch...which I can't afford, and I'd need a mount (bumper?), but I am poor. :(

Anyway, when I had a VW eurovan I got stuck in a lot of really secluded crazy places, and almost EVERYTIME some old rancher would be wandering by with a winch and it saved me so many times.

I want to 1) be that guy (minus the ranch, again, me = poor), and 2) save myself when I inevitably get stuck somewhere awesome.

If there’s anything I learned is that you don’t skimp out on recovery gear if you actually plan on using it. I’d consider a badland winch for a trailer to help load and unload but not as a recovery item. FWIW, we’re getting close to Black Friday deals so I’d wait if I was you. Especially if you don’t even have anywhere to mount it yet. Putting the carriage before the horse, IMO.
Might even be able to get a deal on both. I think someone did a “free winch with bumper purchase” last year.

I needed to move my Grizzley Mill/Drill so I bought the HF cherry picker with a coupon. I have used that thing several times since then with zero issues. I buy the gloves and cheap tarps all the time and use the mini chop saw for making 300 Blackout brass. LOTS of HF tools. The only thing I truly hate is the quick clamps. They are total crap.

I think we may be talking about a different chop saw. The one I use has about a 2" blade. Here is the link: I had their compound sliding miter saw in the past but was never really happy with its accuracy. I have since upgraded to a really nice Bosch one.

I don't think it would last very long cutting 1/4 round to be honest but it is probably cheap enough to give it a try.

They are slow and have limited duty cycles compared to the popular brands. Everyone I know that got one replaced the thick unknown grease with a high quality lithium grease which sped them up a little and seems to help with heat a bit better. But when you are on a budget a slow winch is better than none at all. I would advise that you do not skimp on the recovery gear that you get to go with it.

I usually get the wire wheels from there. 5 bucks compared to 25 at home depot. Those little bastard do come off and stick to you like a syringe so wear glasses.

You got that right! They work great, but do fling wire strands!

Funny, I was just looking thru the app that was posted earlier. Heading over to grab a tube notcher and some free swag.

I currently live 5-10 mins from my harbour freight, but am looking to move. That area is 45 mins to the 2 closest HF's....should I not move?

Just order it online and use the coupons. Closest one to me is ~30 minutes but has a $5 toll along the way. So between gas and the toll its generally cheaper to just buy online. Seems like most stuff ships for 6-7 bucks.

    Minus large stuff of course
