The newest HF pickup. It wasn’t picked up from HF either. Someone was selling it for $150 I offered $120 and got it. 5-10 miles from me and it’s brand new. There’s not even scuffs on the wheels on the legs. Some bolts aren’t tight so I’m going to look up manual and go over this thing.

Sad news. I realize it’s missing some bolts as I go over it.

Edit. It’s not missing bolts, just someone didn’t follow instructions loosely assembling this

Could get it new for $151 still in the box. Why would anyone buy used for 150?

Bolts are bolts, and HF bolts aren’t exactly a loss.

I have had a few of their engine stands and the first thing I do is toss their bolts out and go buy some quality hardware. Last thing I want is a heavy load on their lifts and stands and have a cheap bolt shear on me. Minimal expense, major improvement in faith.

Cheapest I saw for a 2 ton was 180 plus tax.

Well, it’s not missing bolts after all. Just poorly assembled. Only bolts it’s missing we’re a few for the casters, but it’s got at least 3 bolts in each caster.

The bolts aren’t exactly a great fit.

So I’d consider it a decent score since after our 9.5% tax and best I’ve saw is 180 so it’d be close to $200 otd.

Nothing about your statement is wrong.

But 20% off would only apply to the $240 price. Getting it at $180 is better Bc that’s 25% off. Check this out and you’ll see what I mean.

Ok. I hadn't seen they make a 2 ton lift. I've only ever seen the 1 ton lift that is 180 regular price. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

I was hoping you knew something I didn’t for future reference. I was thinking “combining coupons never tried that”.

Finally put my press together. Put some small casters on it to help move it around. I’ll put some adjustable feet to make it stable and to help keep it from rolling when doing big stuff.

Swag off-road. Wish it was mine. Borrowed it from my dad until I can make one or order one.

    FYI:
If you ever need to press anything "at capacity", you want to take the casters off for that particular job and have the press flat on a solid surface. I read somewhere that the press will fail and you'll bend the support cross beams if the legs are unsupported. Of course this only applies when you're really hammering down on the press and shouldn't be an issue for your quick jobs. FWIW, I have mine on large casters and use it all the time to bend 3/16 and 1/4 plate steel using the swag brake as well.
Then again it could also be one of those HF flukes where a few units that got sold were garbage and the rest are fine for years.
