New addition to the basement... 44" toolbox. 429$ plus tax free weekend. It was a bitch to get down the bulkhead into the basement though...

That little titanium 125 might be perfect for me to learn how to weld with and weld on my cab mount chop plates. Looks like it only has good reviews.

It is a badass little welder without a doubt. Crazy how compact it is, will take care of quick jobs like cmc without a problem.

    Nice box. :D

MA transplant here. I remember those tax free weekends. PITA to plan your purchases around. What’s the MA sales tax up to now?

Did they ever start enforcing collections by staking out the border? It was threatened just after I got out of Dodge.

I go through a lot of batteries and used to buy the HF ones. Amazon sells a good/better battery these days. Here's a recent video where Double AA batteries from various manufacturers are tested:

    Thanks, great informative video!
There are cases when a premium battery is required, and cases when not. This sheds some light on the matter.

Anyone know of a source for a rebuild kit for the HF floor jacks? I had an incident off road this weekend and while doing my trail repair my 2-ton floor jack depressurized (not catastrophically luckily). My Hi-Lift saved the day but was also noticeably dry and required some sketchy manipulating on dirt (that's another story). Looks like I should be fine with a seal kit, but don't know where to get an all inclusive kit or if I'd have to source seals individually.

I was at HF yesterday and saw these. I was really tempted by the lights as my T5 fluorescents are expensive bulbs to replace and I have few burned out. I passed because I didn't have time to read about them plus I'm neck deep and behind schedule on a bedroom remodel.

I have both of those adorning my garage. Those lights are SO worth the money, esp at the $20 price. Bright AF!

Only downside in my garage was it has a 110 plug and a 4 foot cord, so I had to kinda make the garage door opener power outlet suit my needs.

@EatSleepTacos really sold me on the Titanium 140 when I was asking around.

Ended up passing on the 125 because it didn’t have gas capabilities. Now I just need the 140 to go on sale

For my needs, I really don't NEED the vulcan line. But seeing as how I'm a baller on a budget these days, the titanium is right up my alley.

Still on the "to acquire" list. But I'm not building a bumper or anything, just small hobby stuff that 110v is plenty for.

Will do when I pick one up. Gonna be my learning platform first, so a small and cheap welder is just the ticket. Don't need a 211 to decide if I like the skillset or not. :D
