It works good, it has low & high and low oscillating & high. The HF Mgr said they only carry these in the fall-winter. I’m planning to buy more for the shop. Will sit one by drill press, grinder, welder, sink and such. It heats up fast and will shut off if tipped and what not. It feels like cheap light weight plastic, but dang if it doesn’t put the heat out.

Yeah I’ve tested them a few times. Think it has enough to remove a lug nut?

Well I bought the corded version and it will easily remove any lug nut. The battery version I've read conflicting stories but I'd imagine it all depends if they were torqued down correctly. I also bought the Ryobi 1/2" 18 volt impact and it removes my Jeep Wrangler lug nuts with the 3 amp HP battery. Not sure on the torque specs of it or HF's but I'd imagine it will as long as the lug nuts aren't over torqued.

A few people in our local 4x4 fb group use the HF guns for trail duty. They're skookum.

if they release a coupon for it I may pick it up. I have a powermax 45xp, but need a machine torch for it. This I could cut into and just leave the plasma sitting beside the table. decisions decision.

Just waiting for the F&F sale in a couple weeks, and I'm gonna pick up a titanium 140 MIG.

Then I'll need something to cut things in half so I can melt them back together... :spending:

This thing has more than enough torque for trail duty. Very powerful, sturdy. 1400 ft lbs, I use it, love it.

Has anyone successfully welded aluminum with any of the HF brand welders? They have some awesome pricing on the multiprocessor units, but most seem to need a spool gun.
