My only concern with a spool gun is that it seems kind of bulky to handle.

All spool guns are bulky but you will learn to manipulate them as needed. I have a Lincoln spool gun also on my 255 and it is just as bulky.

What kind of gas do you use with your 220 and spool gun attachment on aluminum? Been thinking about picking the spool gun up but it's new turf for me.

@Squatting Pigeon , the diamond back saw worked awesome. Thanks for the heads up on the spin doctor. Super easy to use once I reprogrammed myself to put the post in before I layed the tile down. I was used to putting the spacer in after from the couple diy jobs I've done before so I was all fawked up at first lol. In the end those levelers saved a ton of time!! Still need to finish the baseboard tile in the adjoining bathroom and grout. Luckily I have to go to work for a couple days and take a break from it lol.

You can get the tool only impact off Amazon for $200. Get yourself a cheapM18 something with a charger and battery and then you have 2 tools, battery(s) and a charger for cheaper.

Did the math when I bought mine and the bare impact gun, and a m18 impact driver combo worked out far cheaper than both tools separately.

Home Despot has it for $279 with charger and 5 ah battery. I’m tempted to get one even though I already have a mid-torque M18 Fuel

At $279 on sale, the M18 impact with a battery and charger isn’t too much more than the Earthquake. Normal price is like $499 but that includes 2 batteries.

For $99 you can get an M18 drill or impact with carrying bag, charger and battery.
