I think it’s generally safe to assume that ordering anything from a HF store or online is a bit of a crap shoot.

My buddy borrowed it 2 years ago... Must be good as he never brought it back.

I risked it and purchased the 9k watt generator, wheels, battery for the dammed power shutoffs, and picked up the 12k synthetic winch to see if it fits on my bumper... Should be interesting

I gave up the commute and took a pay cut. I now have a 1 mile commute. Half a mile from home to Henhouse Brewing, another half mile to work

I have found that shipping on some items can take weeks with HF. Someone said the company waits until it has a truckload before sending things out.

I bought a $16 4 1/2" grinder from Harbor Freight. It definitely doesn't sound like a precision machine when it's running (lol). It lasted 5 weeks and burned itself up. I had thrown the receipt away because I thought it had a 30 day warranty (the warranty is for 90 days). Yesterday I bought a second one of the same thing. I don't know why but I got 20% off on the second one and it was $12. This second one sounds worse than the 1st one (lmao!). I've figured out that if a run it for a few minutes and shut it off to cool it that it actually gets much hotter just sitting there while I think it's cooling off. I'm wondering if I leave it running with no load will it cool it off or just keep getting hotter because putting the grinder in the garage's fridge is getting metal all over my beer and that ain't right.

I bought a few of those for $10. At that price they're not much more than the wheels:rofl:
Got a wire wheel in one, flap disk, cut off, grinder.....
Haven't had a problem, but don't use them every day either.:notsure:

It gets cooler much quicker when I leave it running. Apparently it's about using it for brief periods (when doing heavy work) and letting it run all day.

It'll be handy to have 2.

That’s the shittiest one they have. I’ve had mine for years and it was the $24 grinder.

But it's still not bad. I had one for a few yrs, used it every week sharpening all my mowers blades.
It had the handle snap off when I dropped it one day. Wa as scary holding it without the handle so I threw it away and bought another. No issues with it either.

Sure, not bad. But overheating and thermal failure is common on that one. Lot of issues with them letting the smoke out first use, or quickly. The “next step up” is a few bucks and typically well reviewed. Bottom of the barrel electric power tools from HF are an exercise in warranty usage.

If you gave em your phone number when you bought it they can pull up your purchase history. I’ve made returns without a receipt a time or two.
