The 9000 watt predator generarptfinLly showed up a month plus after I ordered it. It is a big 420cc generator for the PGEPSPS events. Holy Shit it cranks out power and starts quickly. Great deal

I've used that hydraulic feed bandsaw a few times now and really like it except for one issue which I'll get to. I built a cart for it this morning to make moving it around and storing it easier. Yes I painted the caster wheels. Didn't want to spend time taping them off and my give a shit meter was reading low this morning....
    20200105_144354.jpg 20200105_144255.jpg

So when opened this thing up and inspected it I noticed the band tensioning knob was split. I immediately email HF and asked if they could just send me the part since I didn't want to deal with loading this heavy ass thing back in truck. They obliged to send a new part 4 weeks ago with a 10-12 week eta but the damn thing broke this morning. Hoping I can convince them to rush the shipping. I was hoping to use this to start my expo trailer build in the next couple weeks:angrygirl::angrygirl::angrygirl:

I saw the Yukon garage organizing cabinets are back in the HF website. Does anyone know how these compare to the new age line of cabinets Costco has? Any idea what gauge metal they are constructed of?

I like the look of them! They are sold individually and are modular so you can create as big or small of storage space as you have room for.

Got the Titanium 120v mig welder. This little welder kicks ass. No problem welding 3/16” steel. Also as an added bonus it matches my plasma cutter1EF8468E-1D7D-4F78-940A-DC11F8D363A1.jpg

Used the shit out of mine today (mines probably 10 years old)

for the knob just take that one to the store and take the floor models knob and replace it with that one. They don’t sell floor models anymore.

Thanks! Should I ask somebody or just take it lol. The knob is apart of the whole spring loaded bolt assembly meaning I have to take the upper guide wheel off to get at it. I was thinking about buying a stainless knob, drilling it to the same depth of the original knob and welding it.
I thought it would be no big deal if it broke because I could just throw channel locks on the adjuster until I got the new part but that plastic knob actually holds the tension force i.e. not just adjustment. Hard to explain but lost all tension after it broke off LOL WTF?

Rather than weld it, why not drill and tap to matching threads?

FYI I have an HF rack that i have used to carry my ~280lb 2014 CA Plated WR450 on the back of my truck a few times (and a few others have used it to transport bikes up and down California with their trucks and toppers on) zero issues. The one thing i did was sleeve the main center square tube with another steel tube inside to strengthen it as i noticed it had started to bend (admittedly after a big bump with the bike loaded).

EDIT - heres a pic of me loaded! Good secure clam style straps down from handlebars to mid points, then a ratchet strap over the rear time. Bike is always solid.

I had one of those. Great little press as long as you don't try to force it. The belt tends to slip if you apply too much pressure on the workpiece. Be especially careful if using it to drill thick steel. We all know the bit tends to bite right when you're about to punch through and the press will send things spinning/flying if you're not holding on tight enough or pressing down too hard. Also the depth stop kajigger on the left side is plastic and is commonly broken if you reach the end of the stroke and try to keep going. Every floor model I've seen has that piece broken and I broke mine even being careful and knowing that beforehand. I believe those to be more quirks of the cost-saving from Central Machinery/HF rather than "problems" with the machine itself. Other than that, it's a great little press.

Thanks! I will look into reinforcing the hitch tube.

The 450 is my plan. Hopefully this year if all goes well.

My favorite method is looping ratchet straps through the lower clamp. I try to stay away from the handlebar if possible.
