I'm far from an expert, but I'd think so? I'm assuming it's always running through the UPS's inverter, and not a super fast switchover.. I could very well be wrong though haha.

Thank you. I did this years ago after an ice storm took out power for a week. All I had was (still have) a Coleman 2000w genny. I am thinking about getting a new HF one. 2000w won't start my furnace. Better to have and not need, than need and not have.

That otta do it lol. I've thought about a Generac whole house genny, but they are kinda pricey with install. I do have propane though.

Ordered. Closest HF is 80 miles away. Shipping is $21.94. No brainer there.
    Anyone want a Coleman 2000w genny for $50? :)

Thats the one I just got, and I got it for the coupon price. I do need to get the wheel kit for it though.

Mine came with oil in it, but not enough to start. The generator has a low oil shutoff, and after i added oil it started in 2-3 pulls. Getting a oil container to the oil spout is a horrible struggle.

I read your post, it helped me make up my mind. I wonder if a funnel with a long flexible neck would work for oil changes. :notsure:

Very possible. But I was in a spot where I had no power, and needed it running now. I didn't plan ahead.

And here's one in the dirt. Agreed. Handy and way better than a hi-lift for that application.

About 3-4 years ago we purchased a HD generator, ‘stormbreaker’ for around $750.00. It is a 7,500 w,whole house gen. Briggs&stratton engine, tubular steel frame, large inflatable tires. It power everything with no issues. Payed to have a main box lock out with outside outlet for large heavy duty plug and cable it cams with. It’s been awesome!!

would those jacks function on a stock 4x4 truck without having to get the extensions, for routine repairs
