"Stanley said it plans to hire more workers and open a new U.S. plant to make more Craftsman products"

This could actually be good for craftsman. Everything has been moving towards "made in China."

This one connects directly to your battery and says the truck needs to be running.

1997 t4r has super duty axles, 5.13s locked front and rear. 3 link front with 14" kings. Rear 63s.
Picked this up and taking it back. Not fast enough speed for what I was wanting, maybe good for light metal work and wood.

I set some radio stations. That's about it so far.
The 4.5" angle grinders are a no brainer. Especially when they are priced under $20. I've owned one for almost 10 years. Since I only use it for occasional projects, it works great. I use decent quality wheels so they don't fly apart and kill me. Also... a year or so ago I purchased the Pittsburgh branded composite 1/4" ratchet. I have owned Craftsman, Husky and one ancient set of SK ratchet/socket combos. I was very impressed with the quality of the Pittsburgh. I went back for a 3/8" ratchet in the same style. Looking forward to trying it out. But really.... the angle grinders..... no brainer.

Lift, armor and such. Money pit, check out the build thread...

Agreed. I bought one for $9.99 at one of their tent sales for a small project a couple years ago. Since then I have given it absolute hell and it just keeps on going. Recently used it with a diamond tip cutting disk to cut about 40 slate tiles and it worked like a champ.

I've acquired quite a few things from harbor freight, while I wouldn't put them in any computations against any truck brands I will certainly say as of late harbor freight has replaced Sears/craftsman in value as in "quick I need this" corner store. I got a grinder in my tool box now, second one. Gets it done, for the amount paid I can't say I single thing bad about it (the first one smoked out in my hands, but had a fulfilled life) I got a 2ton engine hoist from HF in my shop that does what it's supposed to, and I bought this floor jack to replace a craftsman one because it's a "replica" of the fj300 snap on jack and HF is in a lawsuits with snap on over this jack and I wanted it before they pulled it off the shelves. It does what a floor jack it supposed to do for a fraction of the price. Now that all the crapsman stuff is made in china I'll take HF any day, and pay less!

Oh but their cut off wheels are junk!

Hopefully this cheap-ass HF hoist will not fall and scratch my bumpers. :boink:
Or fall on my cheap-ass HF Floor jack/Torque Wrenches/Breaker bars.

You wouldn't be implying that this shows how the Germans over engineered the way Audi's have their oil changed?? :boink:

Audi "Service Mode": 1) Disassemble front of vehicle. 2) Remove engine/transaxle. 3) Change headlight bulb and/or engine oil.
