So I have a bad perspective of Harbor Freight tools, my 1/2 drive 21mm Pittsburgh deep impact socket cracked after four years of professional work, I'm not annoyed it cracked after four years. In theory I should be able to just walk into Harbor Freight and swap it out for another no issue, well theres only two Harbor Freights in my city and both are completely out of the 1/2 drive impact metric sockets, its not that big a deal since I have a Husky set at the house so I just took that 21mm to work but Harbor Freight doesnt know when more will arrive. I imagine that if the Husky socket broke I would have better luck with one of the five Home Depots in my city having it in stock. I know I have never had this issue with Snap on or Mac, worse case for them is them to order it and have it next week.

Edit - December 30 I was able to warranty the socket, it just took almost a month for them to be back in stock.

If you're comparing Harbor Freight to Snap-on and Mac I think you need to lower your expectations a bit.

I am annoyed that I cannot warranty this Harbor Freight socket out since my 2 locations are out of stock/not sure when they will get more, I am trying to make the point that from a warranty point of view Harbor Freight does have this flaw of not having lots of locations. Ive only lived in Atlanta and New Orleans, maybe other cities have more locations.
From a quality point of view I am defiantly not comparing Harbor Freight to Snap On, granted HF does compare their tools to SO, I have no complaints about the quality of these HF sockets.

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
Just picked one of these up Saturday during the sale. Paid $22 for it. They're insanely bright, have three modes, magnetic base, and rechargeable. They are great if you need light in tight places. upload_2021-12-6_12-8-47.jpg

I’ve had that problem with stores in my site too, we have three and of course the closest one to me is the one that’s usually out of stock on stuff.
In that past though, under normal circumstances, I have not had a problem with warranty items. Just part of the times right now I suppose.

I picked these up a week ago, some of the best scissors I’ve ever had. I’ll probably buy another set or two to have in a few spots.

Harbor Freight is in the middle of a reboot in terms of tool quality and image. They are striving to improve both and change their reputation as a cheap tool store. They are slowly working their way through their entire tool line-up in an effort to make improvements. Your problem could be related to that situation as the lack of inventory may be a sign that they are getting rid of their old impact socket stock and planning on introducing some new designs. Or maybe not and maybe it is just a pandemic shortage thing. Hard to tell for certain and Harbor Freight will probably not tell you the reason why. Have you tried contacting someone regarding replacing it via them shipping it directly to you?

Picked up a vacuum brake bleeder kit for my scooter. Should come in handy since I’m due for a fluid flush on the truck as well. Pleasantly surprised with the quality.

Stopped at Harbor Freight yesterday. When I came through the door one of the cashiers hollered over "Welcome to Harbor Freight". Normally while you wander around there is never any employees to ask where something is located. Yesterday 2 employees asked me if I needed help finding something. Looks like they are trying to change their customer service image too.

can always look for SIMM210 on eBay or the truck if they've hoarded enough to keep in anticipation of COVID shortages

streamlight has a good one if you ever want a 2nd

Harbor Freight currently has floor jack on sale, you can add Daytona coupon to it additionally, I'm insider track so I got 20% off which brought it to less then $100 including tax. It does pick up the stock 4x4 Tacoma but is fully extended, I will probably toss a 2x4 on top so it goes a littler higher. I was going to buy the 3 ton floor jack but this is to good a deal for me to pass up.

I’m gonna have to look into this “Insider track” membership. I already picked up a Husky 52” tool mobile workbench for $425 because those US Generals cost more.

I ignored it for a while but last year they offered a deal of $45 for a 2 year membership with a $10 gift card. It takes a while to make the membership break even, I think its worth it as long as your willing to wait for what you want to go on sale for insider track to save the extra $2, $5, $10 here and there.

I picked up the impact extensions last week for 9.99 They are cheap but get the job done. Helped me reach the bolts for my gas tank strap that needed to be replaced.

Looks good. Their developers & marketing teams are lazy, they've got your email address in the URL FYI.
