It's a piece of crap. I haven't even gotten one use out of the 2 I picked up. Both broke in the first 5 minutes of using them.

I had the wired one for about 5 yrs now. It worked great when I was actually using it. About 3 yrs ago I got a Ryobi cordless impact and have not used the Harbour freight one since.
I am afraid to buy ANYTHING battery powered from HF. I have bought a few rechargeable drills and such over the years. They always die way to early.

I was thinking of getting the wired one. Just need it for one thing at the moment and the cost seems low enough.

I have the corded version, it's Ok, struggles with lugnuts but it gets the job done. From what i've heard the Cordless version has a higher torque rating.
I used the Corded to also remove a countershaft sprocket bolt on my CBR, it worked well.

I would have no issue using mine if I didn't have a cordless option.

Duly noted, much thanks. Guess I'll stick to looking at their hammers and shit steel Gerbers... :D ;)

I may go get one of those 18V cordless drills. I already have one I got from another sale (that came with the flashlight) and somehow can't find the goddamn charger.
Would be worth it to have two batteries. It's not a bad drill and so far I've only had to charge it once (hence me not knowing where the fucking base is)...

Did they replace it without having a receipt?

I have 3 broken HF impact sockets that I have just been holding onto, because I cannot find the receipt of purchase.

Don't have one near me but was able to score parts at one near my buddies house when we needed last minute tools when working on our Motos before a track day. Can't argue on the price. Heavy duty I can see the issues but for that once and awhile fix its perfect and cheap.

No receipt needed, it'd take awhile to find it from 10 years ago.

In December I completely rebuilt the front end on my truck. About half my tools are HF and I like them a lot.

I love wrenching, and if you do to, you might like this neat video I put together.

No words, just some music and slide show of wrenching pics.

Not a big HF fan but I like to get things there when I have coupons and the next alternative brand is over $75 more expensive, which was the case for a Matco hydraulic wire crimper. Even though the dies are labeled wrong on the HF version the tool works just fine. Happy with it for now, we shall see how long it lasts. The only other tool from them that I use regularly is the 3/8th impact sockets and mostly because they're deep.

@Crom, I like the use of Blackmill in the show ^^^

Ok, pulled the trigger on the corded impact wrench. $35.00 w/coupon. Since they only let you use 1 coupon a day at my local store my wife went through another line with 1/2 inch sockets and a 20% coupon ;)

I have that impact wrench, works pretty good. I also bought those sockets with it. They seem to be pretty tough so far.

Will the 1.5 ton work for basic tire rotations? I got a coupon in the mail for $59.99.

But who lifts their entire truck at once? You generally lift at a corner or an end, not balance the entire thing on a jack.

Yep, combined with some jack stands and a block of wood (for extra lift) and you'll be good to go. I usually jack up the front under the crossmember, set it on jack stands then lift the rear from the pumpkin then jack stand the rear axle.
