Just picked up the 3 ton long handle Daytona. Used it today, very impressed. Be careful not to drop a nut picking it up, but great on a concrete floor.

6 ton jack stands are no slouch either. Opinions will vary, of course.

Outside of switching to a keyless chuck, I've left it stock and it's been great.

If I was to use it a lot then that would be a smart move.

I bought this aluminum 1.5T jack due to its very light weight, I got tired of picking up my old steel 3T craftsman floor jack, seems like it weighed at least 50lb. I admit it only lifts a stock 2nd gen tacoma about 2 inches off the ground till the height maxes out.

Do we trust the harbor freight floor jacks and jack stands or nah? I had a really nice Craftsman jack and stands I gave away years ago when I moved and I'll probably need to buy that all again here shortly.

I got no issue with either and I use both.

I do always leave the jack in the close vicinity of a jacking point, so I never saw the issue.

Always have an out if shit goes sideways.

Used them for years, until I left mine and my neighbor bought me one. Been putting that to use as well.

I think they learned their lesson when they had the giant recall and put a bit more scrutiny on their jackstands now. I've had 3 tons that were good (and then got recalled) and now have 6 tons and no complaints. Haven't died yet. Same with the daytona 3ton standard reach jack I have, suits me just fine and haven't had to rebuild it yet.

If you do opt for the Badlands make sure you check it out at the store before buying it. It is seriously beefy, and heavy. It is NOT low profile and will not fit under many cars. But it looks like it will lift a tank!

Anyone running Harbor Freight solar battery maintainer on a 3rd gen. Tacoma"?
I saw it on sale and grabbed one, but when I use the cigarret lighter, truck screen stays on, truck keeps beeping, and doors won't lock!. Any thoughts on that? Is there a better one to buy? I don't have any of the above issues connecting the battery maintainer directly to the battery, but I like the inside setup better.

The cig lighter plug goes to sleep after 2 hours. The ECU does not like being fed power when the plug is supposed to be dead until you next start it.

You are going to have to find a circuit that is live all the time to tie into.

Easiest would be to just alligator clip to the battery the solar cell.
