I only bought it for one thing, no longer needed... I'm just going to return it and get my $95 back.

Picked up a 4 x 8 utility trailer and some of the bed liner paint.

It's a lot easier to paint before i put it together. Besides, the red turns pink in less than a year. The bed liner paint does not fade.IMG_20170303_143520.jpg

Turning the trailer into a kayak hauler after I add some uprights and cross bars.

    Amazed! Just found this.

The Chinese have their shit together! Domestic trailer manufacturers don't even have a grease zerk on the wheel hubs.

As a builder of many trailers, I like this.IMG_20170303_172622.jpg

So i watched videos showing that HF torque wrench didnt actual torque to the correct lbs. Anyone dealing with this? I need one to having the truck for lugs and things like drain plugs in oil pan and diffs but not sure if it will be correct.

I buy shit tools all the time and love them but when it comes to a torque wrench I will happily spend $100-$200 to get an accurate one that will last.

never had an issue with my HF torque wrenches. Match right close to torque wrenches much more expensive in my experience.

A lot of times going by feel is better though, especially when dealing with nuts and bolts that might have oil / lube on them, that shouldnt as those will effect torque readings.

I have the original bending bar with gauge torque wrench.

Because of the fact that torque wrenches require regular calibration, I see no reason to spend extra money on high dollar TW's. As an ameture mechanic, getting close to the required torque is all I want or need. None of us are going to send out our torque wrenches to be calibrated every month.

It's doesn't matter what brand of wrench you buy, if you don't get it regularly calibrated, you can only count on being close to the required torque. Wich is fine with me.

your like that peddler on the corner that has their child with them to get sympathy change.... shame on you :p

Either way, love HF. Recently just Grabbed two of their "Delux float charger / maintainers" for my motorcycles recently. They come with leads with fuses and work well to keep things topped off.

Anyone know of anywhere that calibrates for a decent price? Places around me want to charge $80+...so I just buy new torque wrenches every year.
    (for work)

I'd even buy a calibrator as long as it printed the proof out and my Kaiser GC's would accept it.

I have many beam and "clicker" torque wrenches--Armstrong, Snap-On, CDI and HF--all calibrated using this device from HF which I check with dead weights every now and then:

For general automotive use I usually grab one of the HF wrenches...

    Not a fan

They work very good to keep the bearings lubed, unfortunately they push the greased past the seal. In hot weather, if the trailer sits for a long time you get a glop of grease on inside of the rim. The springs push on the grease load regardless if towing the trailer or not. The grease collects dirt and now you have an unbalanced tire.

We all know the shitty quality of trailer tires. I just want them to last as long as possible.

I don't need an unbalanced wheel shaking the shit out of the trailer or what is on the trailer.

Pulling the caps and pumping the bearing housing full until new grease is seen is a better option to me.

Ummm....I ran buddy bears for 8 years on my boat trailer and never had one problem. Same set the entire time. Towards the end boat sat for 3 years and only used it 3 times. The day I sold it slapped some grease in them and they went on down the road no problem.

I have one, and I guess it's pretty good (I mean, I really like it). It's my first one, so I can't really compare it to anything else from first-hand experience. I think it's a bit loud so I wear earplugs, but I don't know if that's just inherent with DA polishers in general.

Havent used mine yet. From what ive researched, replace the grease with an extreme pressure grease, should cut down on noise

I've been using the 1/2" HF torque wrench for years, but with the high torque requirements of certain suspension parts (cam bolts, LR UCAS) I decided to get a Husky 1/2" 50-250 ft/lbs wrench to use alongside it. It's a bit pricier at $84, but gets good reviews, lifetime warranty, and it covers 99% of the bolts that I actually torque. The next HF wrench would have taken me up to 3/4" drive.
