I've got a stack of the small tarps. Have a coupon for free without purchase, so I get one every time I go into town. Already used a couple of them, but have a stack still in the bags. Don't remember if I posted it.

I almost went with a Husky torque wrench also.. But then I was reading reviews and seen that they are now made in china. :(
So I stuck with Tekton and HF Torque wrenches that are made in Taiwan. Then got me a PowerBuilt Digital Torque adapter to check and calibrate the torq. on them...

I'll see if I get it. I have a bunch of coupons. They are everywhere but it struck me as unusual that this March book didn't have any.

My $ .02 on HF jack stands.
I recently bought a pair of the 6 ton version, got them home and bent in "safety tab" without too much inspection of them before.
Here was my :goingcrazy: head scratching  wtf moment.

Did some research and found this review on their website.
Basically they are shipping the old posts in the newer stands. Took them back the next day, and talked to the store manager about it. Told her she should probably let her upper management know of this but didn't seem too concerned so it probably ended there. Looked through about 10 sets they had still in the store and all the same. Got a refund and bought better stands at an auto parts store for double the price of HF. Lived to tell the story...HF is great but for things like jack stands, I personally don't mind spending a little more for a better, safer product.

3 ton version but same build quality

I don't even use those tabs. Never had a problem. Then again, if I have to max out a stand, I just get a stand the next size up.

I'm sure alot of people don't. I probably wouldn't have either if I would have noticed this before I bent them in order to do the tear down work I had planed on starting that evening. It's just my experience and opinion of HF jack stands. Take it with a grain of salt, just trying to save someone else the headache that I went through.

Don't get me wrong. I was in no way talking down on your statement. I was just saying that I don't use the limiting tabs on any of my stands. One reason is that I don't use them set that high, another reason is that they stack better under the table with the bars pulled out.
As for the video, I saw that happen with two stands when I was in the army. One had a damaged pawl that wouldn't lock the grooves, and the other had a stripped shaft through the pawl so it wouldn't move. Either way, the video is definately a good way to show people to check their equipment before using it.

Not calling anyone stupid, but could you flip the post around along the vertical axis or is that 'structural ridge' on both sides?

Thats' funny. My shop is set up very similar. Great minds think alike.

Even the stove and saw horses are in the same general location.

Bought this piece-o-crap yesterday since they were out of the one I wanted. I wasn't sure if it was going to be strong enough, but I'm impressed. It's light and small, but it's got plenty of power. I wanted one that accepted SDS max bits, but they didn't have ANY(wtf). o_O

This one is staying in the work truck for further testing.

Are the metal carts as good as the poly? Poly is twice the price but higher rated.

How much stuff are you planning on having on it anyway?

The most limiting pieces of these carts are _usually_ the casters.
