Any idea why my hard brake line that runs to the caliper keeps blowing up. I have replaced each side atleast 5 times and every couple of weeks I end up with no brakes and fluid everywhere because that hard line gives out

Is it flexing at either end? It shouldn't be.. One end is the caliper and it is likely tight or you would have bigger problems. The other end is that bracket on the knuckle, if it's loose ot could flex the line around.. where is it breaking? At the fittings? In the middle?

Every time I fixed it I find a broken piece inside where the line threads into the caliper

Are you possibly overtightening it? Those little fittings only need 9-10 lb/ft

I don’t think so because they work fine for a bit then all of a sudden one day they decide to give out. I’m always very cautious with them bc they always give me issues

If the piece you're digging out of the caliper is the flare piece of the line then it really sounds like too much torque

I’ll try to be easier when I replace this one later. I will update/send pictures when I get this broken one off

Get your hands on a torque wrench and practice what 10 lb/ft feels like, or 120 in/lbs on a smaller torque wrench.. it's not much

If you have some crows feet sockets you can torque the lines exactly to spec

Any chance you know the length of this hard line off the top of your head? Need to replace mine and want to make sure I get enough length for both sides but not 100ft lol
