when i had a hard hit, it actually bent my spindle-- it was only noticeable when i pulled them. At that point you need a new one and nothing could get it back in place.

BEST practice ive ever done is mark where all my cam tabs are so I know when things are out of whack or something is bent

    Reserected from the dead.

Me, too. Bent near the upper ball joint (can they bend anywhere else?).

Heated it up and straightened it out.(I know, not supposed to do that)

Drove the truck for another 275k.

Thought about heating it up and bending back but been lazy. I just bought a new set and welded the tc gussets to them

$80 SPC Cam bolts and she's back in alignment. Still feeling that this is a bandaid but I do appreciate this shop spending 6+ hours on my truck and only charging me $200 total for the cam kit, alignment and $40 labor.

Just read all of this thread.. glad you finally got it fixed. Question though.. Isn't the cross caster backwards?

    What do you mean?

That was the initial “fixed” alignment after a shop installed SPC Cam Bolts to get it back within spec. They managed to completely flatten my drivers front cam tabs in the process. I hate dealing with shops.

Isn't the caster usually higher on the passenger side to offset right drift?

Usually. Can’t get that on mine. Dropping drivers caster increases neg. camber. Can’t get any more caster out of the pass. side.

Gotcha. I think it might have been mentioned earlier in this thread, but if you end up needing more caster down the road, SPC UCAs will help. Hope it works out.
