I went to Koons Tyson’s and got the deal I expected check the post above I added. They were great with me. Maybe I’m just lucky but it was a great deal and super efficient. Daniele Bava was my salesperson and he is the top salesperson for that dealership.

Exactly, which is why there is sometimes so much disparity between the OTD numbers often posted. Tax, title, registration fees vary wildly between the different States. The difference between 6.25% and 8% at $40,000 is $700. Title fee's are sometimes astronomical as well.

    Here's a summary of the non-tax fees I paid.

Waste tire MGT fee (NY thing) $12.50

Dealer paperwork/ get my plate fee $75
It makes clear this is optional, but if it saves me going to the DMV it's money well spent

    Registration/title $151
Ended up getting a check back for part of this because they estimate it

    NY inspection fee $10

    GAP insurance $125

    Total: $373.50

Obviously your title/registration/DMV fees will vary state to state, but don't pay $900 for "dealer processing" and the freight charge should be included in list price not a separate line item.

Another thing to consider is how you are buying. Cash, finance or lease. In the case of finance and lease, the rates you receive can affect the actual cost to you quite a bit so these should also be in the negotiations.

I don't know for sure, but end of the quarters, especially getting close to new year model release, usually brings some factory incentives. Either cash or low or even zero finance interest. If you're really concerned about getting the best possible deal than wait until the last week of June to deal. One other point... find out how long the truck's been on the lot. If it's been there for 6 months+ they should be eager to move it.

I believe there is currently a $1000 Rebate going on so make sure that gets worked into the deal.

KD Max Tune, King 2.5 coil overs T.C. UCA's, Deaver leafs, 17x9 Black Rhyno Warlords, 33" Toyo M/T's, Metal Tech rear bumper, Westin HDX drop steps with Bullet Liner coating, K&N CAI, Baja Designs fog pods, Rigid Midnight addition 3" pod ditch lights. Cali Raised brackets and 32" behind the grill mounted light bar, Southern Style Offroad Lopro Stage II front bumper, Warn winch, FACTOR 55 Ultra Hook, FACTOR 55 Hawes Fairleed, full debadge, Cosmetic goodies such as 15% carbon tint, matte black in channel rain guards, interior LED's, Teton Workshop shift knob, Inferno vinyl detailing on the interior, Cali Raised multi rocker switch cubby insert with Mc Tuning LED switches and a few other mods I've probably left out.
How about you bypass all the sales BS and wondering if you're getting a good deal and call your dealership, ask for the fleet manager, tell him exactly what you want and have him order it for you. Sure it may take a couple months for him to build his fleet but it may only take a few days like mine did. It's like buying in on a group buy. Got my TRD OR DCSB Tech and premium packages, leather bla bla bla for $32,642 including all fees out the door. Buy your truck this way and you'll have some money left for some kick ass mods

These things are regional. In my area (SW) there's a $1000 + another $1000 for the "Special Edition" what ever the hell that is. I don't know if this link will translate but here it is.

I have been seeing TV commercials with the $1000 Rebate for quite some time, I was thinking it was nationwide but maybe it is regional
