Anyone got a trick to putting the snap ring on the Ac compressor clutch. I'm struggling to put it in. I have the snap pliers but I can't seem to get it in.

So you can’t seat it into the hub of the hub of the compressor? You replaced the compressor or you just replacing the clutch assembly?

Oh yes, can be a bitch to seat into the land area... it’s beveled the snap ring is correct? And you have it going in the right direction....

It’s been a while since I tempted this in the truck BUT once you get the snap ring close to seating , sometimes you can take a flat head screw driver and a small hammer to tap it into the ring land

I just did a compressor and clutch replacement but was on the bench when I put those together. Struggle some to get the snap rings into place. Just make sure it’s seated correctly before you start the truck.... shit can make noise and ruin the new parts installed

Ok... I know it can be a struggle ... especially when it’s on the vehicle. Sometimes when I walk away for a moment or 2 and get back at it.... it goes together like it was meant to
