I have a 2002 Toyota Tacoma truck, extended cab, 4x4 with the 2.7l 4 cylinder engine with 94,000 km on it.

Occassionally it is hard to fill the gas tank. The gas seems to go down the filler neck very slowly. I have tried this at the gas station and filling from jerry cans.

At the gas station the pump cuts out quickly after each 0.1 litre of fuel goes in so this is a PITA.

The mproblem is intermittent and I often go months without it happening.

I suspect a plugged vent line slowing down the fuel going down the filler neck to the gas tank.

Any suggestions? My wife took it in to the useless dealer and of course they couldn't figure it out.

Light bar and bumper guard, 3/16 steel skid plates for engine, tranny and transfer box, OME 881 springs with 5100 shocks at mid clip. AAL in rear. Positraction rear diff.
The tank vent comes back up to the input tube just below the cap about 2 or 3 inches. With a flashlight push open the metal cover and look for any blockage. You can better understand what I'm talking about here. These are the components of your system.
