A few months ago, I baught a 2013 Tacoma with a "Extang Solid Fold" cover already installed. Didn't think I'd like it, but I love it. It's a hard cover that folds in 3 sections. Very easy to operate. Fold it up & the back 2/3 of bed is completely open. Two clamps under front corners & it comes completely off. The only neg., that doesn't affect my use, it's NOT completely water proof. I don't don't know how to do pictures & stuff, but just google Extang Solid Fold.

After quite a bit of reading up on tonneau covers & price points I decided to go with the Extang solid fold 2.0 & I am very happy with it. It was $200 dollars cheaper than the Bakflip MX4 which was my second choice. I can still use my OEM rail system tie downs & doesn't sit flush with the top of the bed like the MX4 which cuts down on height of items under it in the bed. The Extang 2.0 was pretty easy to install & comes off in a couple minutes with only 1 person. Also has a nice looking textured appearance that I like.

As far as water proofing it came with the 2 seals for the ends of the bed headrail. Most of the water issues with tonneau covers have nothing to do with the cover & more about the lack of seals around the tailgate & headrail. I plan on ordering a tailgate seal kit to take care of that issue this week.

Not a great picture of it but there are others on the internets to look at20180615_193807.jpg

EDIT nevermind I just saw that you're looking for a cap not a tonneau cover but I'll just leave this here

Actually, I am looking for a cover. Just a hard shelled one. Of course our terminology may just be different. Nice looking rig...

OP is looking for a one piece cover, fiberglass/ABS. He mentioned this a few time.

That one ^ appears to be lighter weight than I had in mind. Saw that photo on Google when I began searching a while back, but never found the thread here at TW. Thanks.

Now this ^ one is more like what I remember seeing. I thought the front supports were also 'more like" the rear ones. Kinda hinged in the middle, and the whole thing moved rearward of the truck a bit as it raised.

This one ^ isn't for a Taco apparently. It looks similar to the one above. Electric. I do like that it can be used either way... just raising the rear, or the whole thing. The one I used before was not electric.

I'm told the company I was working for that used them, has now opened a shop local to me (I was traveling when I worked for them), so I should find the time to get by their location and check out exactly what they have, and see who they had install them. They were full size Chevy or Fords though.
