Hardware for OEM tonneau hard cover and soft cover

Hi all. I'm new to the forum. My question is I purchased a 2021 TRD Off Road Taco a couple weeks ago. I'm looking for an OEM tonneau hard cover. I found one on FB Marketplace, but the seller does not have the hardware to it. It was traded in for a Tundra. The Toyota auto parts person I talked to said they only sell the tonneau soft cover. The hard cover only comes from the manufacturer and they don't sell it or can't get it. He doesn't know if the hardware from the soft cover will fit or work on the hard cover when I asked him that. Does anyone know? I don't want to buy it and it turns out that it doesn't fit. Thank you for your help.

 

It’s not worth the time or money to buy the hardware for it unless he gives you the cover for almost free.

It’s a few hundred for the bolts and mount pieces, over 200 more if you want the already cut bed caps instead of cutting your own.

keeping searching for someone willing to trade caps, it took me a month or two to finally get one.

 

If you live close to Canada, you can buy the entire kit there. For some reason they sell it up north.

 

However crossing the border is going to be a problem for the foreseeable future.
I'm pretty sure they won't grant an exception on humanitarian grounds.
