    I said I'd NEVER own a Harley... Started out with Sportbikes and Superbikes and finally bought a Suzuki Boulevard M50 that was just full of this technology you speak of... and a bunch of cheap plastic parts too.

    Sure, the in-line four cylinder and V-Twin race engines are great... fuel injected loaded up with digital this and digital that... But how many of these bikes do you see around that are 20-30-40 years old?

    Harleys have old school style... made of quality billet or steel parts... and are a blast to ride. Further, they have plenty of technology... Mine has a key fob and push button start. I don't even need a key to start it. Disarms security as soon as I am in proximity and re-arms it when I walk away. How many sportbikes have that?

    So yea, they are sometimes more expensive than other bikes - but the old saying "You get what you pay for" still holds true in my book.

    Not everyone gets into the "rebel" niche of Harley ownership... To some, it's about cruising. Sportbikers cruise too... they just do it in the triple digits, at least - that is what I used to tell Harley riders when I rode rockets.
