Harmonic Balaancer Retaining Bolt

    Can someone tell me the part number for the harmonic balancer retaining bolt?

    It goes beyond description how tight that was on there. I made the tool and used hardened bolts that still managed to bend. Glad this is only a 60000 mile occurance.

    If you ever do another one find someone with a acetylene torch, heat the bolt head red, wait abt. 1 minute & heat it red again(you may have to do it a third time), bolt will come right out, let it air cool, don't quench it, put it back in & tighten to 50-60 lb, drive back home & do your job. I've done this may times for people & myself as I have a acetylene rig in my shop. Honda pulley bolts are the same super tight way like the Toyotas. Some people use the starter & break over method on the Honda/Acura engines, don't know if you can on Toyota engines, I just use my torch. Keeps me from breaking tools.

    Cool tool for holding it still. I just changed my timing belt yesterday and had to deal with that bolt. I put the impact gun on it and it came right out, didn't even have to hold the crank still. If you've got access to an air gun then that can save you a lot of trouble. Tightening it back up was a chore though, the factory service manual says 300Nm which is TIGHT.

    Yours may have been removed before. I've never run across one that was factory installed that I could remove with my air impact. just sayin.

    Pump and timing belt changed also changed the tensioner pulleys all three. While at it I changed the tensioner pulley on the ac compressor bracket. Waiting in seals for the timing cover and the new bolt for the harmonic balancer. Also changed the thermostat.
