Looks like you have Air On Board switches. I have https://www.otrattw.net/home.php .

I’m also using a locker “power” master switch as a safety so the lockers don’t get turned on accidentally. They’re going to be at opposite ends of my switch panel.

I guess that may be a possibility. I also plan on wiring the front locker to only get power when the rear locker is on.

Sometimes you only want the front, or if you get an open circuit in the rear, then the front doesn't work either.

Excellent point. Looks like I’ll have to reconsider keeping them separate. Thank you.

Thanks for the pictures!! Those look very well put together and super clean. Does ECGS seal the Harrop plug hole where it comes out of the 3rd/clamshell?

Good luck with the install and break in. Let us know how the gears and Harrop feel.

Got the diffs installed yesterday and spent today wiring up the lockers. I wired a safety switch that needs to be pressed to enable the front and rear locker switches. I havnt tested the lockers yet but checked the plugs with a meter and switches and relays are all working properly.

The driver side cv shaft play that I was worried about is deffinitely 100x better than it was with this locker. I did not get the ecgs bushing. I’m guessing it could make things even tighter, but in my opinion is not mandatory.

My switches from air on board are a dead on match to my blue dash lights in my 2019. I highly recommend them.

can’t wait to test out these bad boys on the trail.

If you have the locker in you don’t need the solid spacer.

You talking about the ecgs bushing right? Not the solid spacer. That’s what I was referring too. I actually had them install a solid spacer instead of the crush sleeve in both my diffs.

So i pulled over on some dirt last night to try and test engagement of the e lockers front and rear after wiring everything up. Hard to tell if anything is happening. if there is, these things are dead silent on engagement. I was expecting to here some sort of clunk or click as i rolled forward but nada. I'm gonna have to jack the truck up off all 4 and put it in 4wd and throw it in neutral. Flip on the e lockers and try and spin the tires just to make sure everything's working properly

Gravel will tell, you’ll hear the locked side dragging a bit when you have the steering wheel at hard lock.

Got all 4 off the ground last night and tested the Lockers. Both front and rear are working perfectly. No noisy air pump and just traction at the push of a button. Pretty sweet!

The only noise is the click of the relay that is easy to get drowned out by many other things.

@blitzkrieg3002 If you don’t mind me asking, did you order the 8in. Toyota third member from ECGS. And have them add the E-Locker , The reason I ask is i have a 2018 SR5 and was wondering if that’s the only way to get Harrps E-locker. Thanks

Yes, you got it. Mines a 2019 SR5. It’s the 8” rear end. I ordered it and the front clam with harrops from ecgs. So far everything’s been great with my experience with them. Cores should be delivered there soon and I’ll get my refund.

I see you changed to 5:29 gears, kinda curious, is it your tire size ? I was thinking of going to. 4:88’s in the future. For now I can only do the rear pumpkin do to cost. I’m running BFG’s 265/75-16’s

I’m running 285/75/16, 33’s. I re geared for my tire size plus a tad extra for towing my travel trailer. 4.88’s would work great for 32’s 5.29’s would work just fine as well. There’s a couple guys that have ran em on stock size tires and love them. If you think you may ever go up in tire size or add weight to your truck I’d go with the 5.29’s

If you do just the rear, obviously don’t ever put it in 4wd until you redo the front or you’ll have some major damage.

I’m mainly looking to upgrade to a good e-locker, with out trading for a new truck again. Thanks for your help, I’ve gained some good info here on TW. I may look for a rear 8in. pumpkin at the salvage yard and have a locker set up. Good luck with the new gears
