Anyone have the harrops in a manual, after wheeling Sunday I suppose a rear locker would be real beneficial in the off camber ruts and rocks.

I’ve heard of them unlocking like half or a quarter of a tire rotation when switching from forward or reverse wondering how switching directions and unlocking would do with a meaty tire and being aggressive on the clutch

What do you mean by this... if you regear only the rear, but not the front, you could damage if used in 4WD?

Not could. Will. The different gear ratios in the front and rear meet up in the t-case. That causes bind in the t-case and it will break it.

Couple of months ago I had gears and lockers installed on my 2017 sport 4x4. I had to wire the lockers myself, the rear is working, but the front is not engaging. Do anyone know where I could go to get it look at? I’m in Downey/Torrance area

I have 5:29 nitro gears and front Eaton e locker Getting all lined up for my truck here in November. I can’t wait. Will update once I’ve got it all installed.

Did you ever regear with Zuk? He has my gears now and he’s doing mine next month. I’m 20mins from him

You can't go wrong with either of those. Although ECGS 5 year warranty is hard to beat.

Zuk already has my gears and locker. He’s 20 mins from me and has a legendary reputation. As soon as I have time to pull my diffs I’m dropping them off to him! Very excited. He convinced me on 5:29. I can’t wait to be overgeared after being under geared for so long

Well I think I damaged the wired connection to my harrop, could have sworn I disconnected it when swapping lead springs, but must've missed it and over extended the harness. I checked power to the plug coming from the switch and get 12 volts, I tried to send 12 volts directly to the plug attached to the clamshell and can't hear anything. I'm going to depin the connector to see if I just damaged it, but if there is a loose wire internally, what am I looking at to fix it? I know the wires are attached to the electromagnet, what what does it take to swap the magnet out?

Well it looks like it started working this morning after playing with the connector yesterday, planning to depin the current Metri-Pack connector and replace with a new one.

Well I’m finally “officially” locked :bananadance::bananadance: and the Harrops are not just along for the ride anymore.
Finally had time and nice(r) weather to get this all wired up and done. Tested everything and it works beautifully.

    Not really.
You can feel the front after it engages. It makes the front wheels only want to go stright

I don’t hear any sound when engaging, but you can tell when it engages after the tires rotate to almost a full turn.

I had Zuk build my front Harrop eLocker. One of the best mods I've ever made. Quite, engages in 1/4 turn. One-touch operation. Simple design. I had a special button made for it to fit the existing switch panel. It just works and I don't have to think about it.

I hear Eaton is offering the eLockers in the states. Supposedly the locker part is made in the states and shipped to AU. Then when people in the US buy they are shipped back to the US. I hear they are trying to cut down on the number of unnecessary shipments across the earth.

Though in some Cruiser circles Harrop is kind of a status symbol. I want to put a Harrop in the rear to be triple locked. The design is so simple might as well stay with it. If it works, don't mess with it.
