    Hello TW,

    By any chance anyone have a harrop harness that they can help me out. I'm trying to figure which way the diode is suppose to go in. Long story short it didn't come with one so I bought a replacement for it, and didn't know that there were anode (+) and cathode (-) side. When i put the diode in, it blew up. Bought another replacement and same thing happened. By looking at the wires (white and black) i put the diode according to positive and negative side. Is it suppose to be in reverse? Please see picture for reference on how i put it in.

    Fyi: the locker work without the diode but im sure there's a reason its put into place.

    @hoarder23

    Did more research on how diode work and maybe its in reverse bias configuration. Has to be because i had it on forward bais configuration and it blew the diode out.

    Waiting on someone to chime in since i wont be getting the new diode until tomorrow eve. Sure dont want to blow another diode. Screenshot_20200811-221352_Gallery.jpg

    Who installed it in the diff?

    And I'd call Cruiser Brothers tomorrow, they should be able to give you better info. https://cruiserbrothers.com/

    They did update their harness recently. Looks like you have the newer setup. We just installed my buddies harness, if you are stills tuck I can have him snap a photo of the orientation of his.

    You say "it's literally right in the manual" but nothing on the manual you linked says flyback diode. I'm really good at following instructions, and can interpret a wiring diagram enough to prevent vehicle fires (so far) but nothing in that wiring diagram indicates to me, a dummy, that there is some additional dohickey in the setup.

    The orientation is clearly shown in the wiring diagram in the manual and painted on the diode. That's all that's required to fix the OP's problem.

    The fact that it's a flyback diode is extra information I offered in case one cares to look it up and understand why it should be there.
