Do you think true 33’s would make my AT taco shift better?

Rounding up has been commonly practiced for at least the last 40 years. Anything over 31.6 has always been referred to as 32" and so on.

Plus the EXACT height will vary depending on the wheel they are mounted on, how much air is in the tires, the weight on the tires, and how worn they are. Most any tire with 40,000 or more miles will be about 1" shorter than when new.

I put imperial-sized 33” tires on my Taco. Within a month they measured 32 and 13/16ths, so I scapped ‘em. Couldn’t afford the loss of clearance.

Man, you're awful hot and bothered over less than a quarter of an inch; wonder why that is.

    Here's an option for you

It’s not the diameter, it’s the width I was asking about. 33s are 12.5 inches wide.

You can get them bigger than 33 with more air.

33s can be had in several widths. 33” x 10 1/2” is popular where I live.

Interesting. I have only seen 12.5. Im only asking because they are $80 cheaper than metric tires here and was wondering if anyone was running them. Guy up thread said they will fit with my setup.

33” tires, whether metric equivalents, or true 33” tires typically require some mods to fit. The mods are usually a cab-mount chop and trimming the fender liners. 33” skinny “Pizza cutters”
can be fit without cutting, but not a tire 12.5” wide, typically.

No need to cab mount chop on 33s only on 35s. I could be wrong but mine don’t rub. My boy has 35s and he did have to mod to fit that tire size.

That goes against the common narrative here, but sure. If you don’t rub the cab mounts, you don’t have any worries.
