    pretty sure if you're gonna have 3rd row seats, a second row should be figured out first....

    Was more referring to the ranch truck comment, but I agree.

    4Runner 3rd row seat plus roof rack and storage totes. Plenty of room for day trips and grocery shopping. Just need a trailer to haul camping gear.

    As much as I see people riding in the back of pick ups where I live on the highways we rarely see anyone die, get ejected, or roll over while riding in the back. Sure it can happens but maybe one or two a year. There’s a million people on the island I live on for reference.

    :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

    First off, the 55 MPH wasn't implemented until late 1973...I'll toss that out of the conversation right there!

    And, you're talking to someone that commutes on a motorcycle, 125 miles a day and about one third of those miles are Lane Splitting!

    There are many folks, I pass each day, in their steel cages, that think they are all safe and sound because of all this new technology that surrounds them! I got news for you, you can take all this "Safety" stuff of today, and probably find that the risks of getting hurt haven't changed all that much! Especially when some 18 wheeler slams into them! At least I think people back then were more aware of their surroundings and paid more attention to what was around them because of the fact they knew if they screwed up, they would get hurt!

    Now days, so many are on their stupid cellphones instead of watching the road around them! Which is why rear end accidents are happening more and more and a major reason that makes Lane Splitting "Safer" for motorcycles! Although, cruising through traffic -Lane Splitting- the last 48 years on Kalifornia freeways, I have seen plenty of other distractions people have managed to come up with to keep their eyes off the road!:annoyed:

    And you are correct, it only takes one dirtbag to ruin your day!

    I remember @Box Rocket did this in his 1st gen. I can't remember if he had two or three seats back there. Maybe he can chime in or shoot him a PM.

    I’m sure you call people “cagers” too. Please. Modern safety features have reduced fatal injuries most definitely. But keep thinking that.

    If you really feel that way about safety then you’d be riding in a tank top and flip flops, which I hope not.

    Either way enjoy your ride. Agree to disagree.

    Yep, you/they are "Cagers"!

    Oh, I wished I could find a picture I have of a couple riding in tank tops, shorts and flipflops! Totally amazing that someone could even think of being on a motorcycle that way!

    The one thing I was pointing out about all these "modern safety features" was that it gives people a FALSE sense of security....I didn't mean that it didn't save lives...

    I've hit the ground at 65 mph without the benefit of "modern safety features", it hurts! That was long ago before things like "padded jackets and riding pants". And when I had another accident 21 years later, although only doing about 30 to 35, all I came out of that one was a few bruises! So, yes, I know how "modern safety features" help. BUT, again, to many rely on these "modern safety features", so they don't have to "think" about their, and others safety!

    And I bet you are one of those cagers, that I see on the freeway, busy on his cellphone while driving and weaving all over his lane!

    See what happens when you make assumptions? :smack:
